Acibros is the Galician School of Environmental Education.

We carry out all our activities from right next to the wall of the Belesar dam (Chantada, Lugo), the largest reservoir in Galicia. In these facilities next to the Miño River we have showers and changing rooms, which facilitate the comfort of those who wish to carry out activities with us.

We have two locations to which we travel in order to carry out these activities; both in two incomparable places of Galician nature:

• Sil Canyons (Ribeira Sacra)
• "Terras do Miño" Biosphere Reserve

The activities we do on both sites are the following:

• Canoes
• Hiking
• Archery
• Orientation

In Acibros Canoas we offer you the possibility of enjoying our incredible landscapes from this fantastic boat.

These are typical places to do this activity. Incredible rivers, canyons, the green of the landscapes ... We can take you to either of these two places:

Acibros Hiking invites you to spend a different day immersed in the landscapes of our region.

With our professional guides, belonging to the "Escola Galega de Educación Medioambiental", you will be able to discover incredible places in our geography. We have two main places where we carry out our activities:

• "Terras do Miño" Biosphere Reserve

We offer hiking trails, based on the principles of Environmental Education, which consists of these principles:

• Environmental Education is an education in favor of the environment, understood as an education in favor of the people and the conservation of resources.
• It aims at the care, maintenance, recovery and / or improvement of the environment, reaching the appropriate conditions for the maintenance of the lives of men and women integrated in the environment.
• Seeks solutions to environmental problems, directly or indirectly related to the use and management of resources and to all conflicts derived from that management.

Archery Acibros offers you the opportunity to enjoy this fun activity with us in the middle of a landscape that you can enjoy to the fullest.

We provide you with everything you will need to carry out this sport:

• The necessary approved technical material
• The help and monitoring of our instructors, who will teach you the basic techniques of archery and how to get the most out of your aim
• Accident and civil liability insurance

Acibros Orientación brings you closer to incredible places in our autonomous community to enjoy the fauna and flora and, why not, learn something new.

Thanks to the orientation activity, you can learn to navigate places that might otherwise be confusing or get you lost.

In Orientation books we will teach you to use the necessary resources so that you can be more autonomous in the countryside when you go out to do any activity such as hiking, mountain biking, or anything that involves entering nature.

In our activity, you will have to navigate marked routes that are completed with the help of the compass according to marked directions.

Enjoy a boat trip through the largest reservoir in Galicia with Nature Guides Books . With the collaboration of the Belesar 010 Nautical Club , you will visit the Belesar dam in Chantada (Lugo).

Travel the river Miño aboard the Yacht Garoa, a boat specially prepared to travel such special waters. We carry out departures in low season and high season, on weekdays and weekends.

Prices reduced to children from 0 to 3 years old and large families. We organize routes for schools and associations.

Nature Guides Acibros organizes guided routes in buggy , two-seater 250cc buggies. You can choose between:

• One-hour routes through the Mount and Mines of Freixo (Monforte) , enjoy the landscapes of the Valle de Lemos and the Sil Canyon.
• Two-hour routes visiting the Pena do Castelo and Mirador del Duque viewpoints, you can enjoy the views of the Sil Canyon . We will also visit the vineyards of the Ribeira Sacra. The activity includes insurance, guide or monitor, equipment and buggy.

To drive a buggy it is necessary to have a B1 license.

Acibros Nature Guides makes 4x4 routes through the Ribeira Sacra . A tour of the vineyard and rural areas of the region, you can visit the most important wineries and monasteries of the Ribeira Sacra.

You can choose between half-day 4x4 routes or full-day 4x4 routes. Groups are of a maximum of 8 people and prices include picnic lunch.

Walk through the most charming landscapes and places of the province of Lugo, get lost among the vineyards of the Ribeira Sacra, meet the nature, people and customs of our land.
