The Rías Baixas are one of the most emblematic points of the Galician region, and in Alecrín we do kayak routes through the waters of the Ensenada de San Simón, located in the Vigo estuary. Our center is in this same city, so the kayaks are completely ready to go sailing and reach the island of San Simón, also known as the Iisland of memory.
This route is suitable for the family, children (from 6 years old) and adults, and we leave from Cesantes, in Redondela, in self-emptying boats for 2 people and with oars for both. After rowing through the estuary, we will reach the island, where we will disembark to enjoy its tranquility and splendor.
But the natural landscapes of Galicia also deserve a tour on land. That's why we have a route that combines hiking and kayaking, walking through the riverside forests and observing the traditional constructions related to the use of the river and the forests. Then, we will paddle through calm waters observing its beauty from the boat.
Both experiences are refreshing and simple. The waters are calm and the path has hardly any unevenness, making it a way to enjoy two nature sports without spending excessive energy and enjoying the landscape more.
There is the possibility of doing the kayak tour at night, in the moonlight.

In Alecrín we have prepared a few hiking routes through the extensive natural terrain of Galicia. Our headquarters are in Vigo, but we organize outingsbeyond the province of Pontevedra, occupying the entire Galician region. We move through the forests, which have traces of magic, the mountain ranges, cliffs that hide on the horizon, abandoned towns and animals and plants so varied that they can only be found walking along rural paths.
We do guided tours, such as the one in theSierra del Suído, on the border of Pontevedra with Ourense, very far from the cities and their bustle. We will also follow the trail of the wolf in A Cañiza, walking along the Whispering Valley trail in the A Paradanta region. The Serra da Groba is a route that you are going to love, in the municipalities of Baiona, Oia and O Rosal.
In addition, we have a series of routes that we call "giants": the Lighthouse Route, some sections of the Camino de Santiago and the route of theGalician Waterfalls They are challenging routes in which to confirm the passion for hiking and the Galician land.
You can even subscribe to our services and make a different weekly outing by paying for months.
And if you are excited to travel a path that you know and we do not offer, you can ask us to take that route without any problem. We will make the preparations to go out on your personalized route.
Get to know Galicia in the best way, walking among its enchanted natural landscapes.
The location we have in Alecrín Activities and Adventure is privileged. We are in Vigo, a few minutes from the Cíes Islands by boat and in the heart of Rías Baixas, which forces us to take guided tours of the natural world, during the day and at night. Furthermore, the coast of Pontevedra is the center of many of the legends of Galicia, with stories and myths that have passed down through many generations and that we will take care of telling you in detail.
Get ready because these are our offers:
Day visits to the islands of the Atlantic Islands National Park: to Cíes, Ons, Sálvora and Cortegada. All of them with wonderful examples of ecosystems typical of the Galician coast.
Night visits to the National Park: these islands are a world apart. With cliffs, forests, magical!! That is why we have different options to see the sky covered in stars on the islands. On the island of San Martiño, the southern island of Cíes, which we will arrive by sailboat to lie on the beach to observe the universe over Galicia. In Monteagudo, the northern island of Cíes; Apart from admiring the stars, we will go into the earth to see the animal nightlife (owls...).
Another possibility is a tour of all the Cíes Islands, with a sunset typical of the west coast of Europe. It is also possible to see the sky in Sálvora, the island with the least light pollution in the park.
We also make à la carte visits, so let us know your plan and we will develop it with love and great professionalism.
The humid soil that exists throughout the year in Galicia has meant that its forests have many species of mushrooms, both edible and poisonous. At Alecrín Activities and Adventure we have several mycological routes to discover mushrooms and so that you can learn what you need to go out on your own to the forest to look for them.
Our center is in Vigo, in the province of Pontevedra, but we also operate anywhere in Galicia that you know and want to visit, because we do personalized activities near your accommodation.
It is possible that in one day you will see more mushrooms than in your entire life, and of all types. With the typical mushroom shape, with strange shapes, with a delicious flavor and other very curious ones.
One of the places we will explore is the Cortegada Island, in the Illas Atlánticas Natural Park, where we will find the lactarius queticolor, chanterelles and the rare clitopilus scyphoides, among many more species.
The other place is the Tea River valley, in Mondariz, where there is also an astonishing variety of boletus, chanterelles and more types of mushrooms.
And remember that we can move to the native areas of your area to discover the world of mushrooms that surrounds you.
