Bassegoda Park

Bassegoda Park is a campsite located in the high mountain region of Albanyà and Alta Garrotxa in the Girona Pyrenees. We have a wide range of bungalows and camping areas. Come and enjoy a series of very interesting adventure activities in the surroundings.

We are next to the Alta Garrotxa Park of Areas of Natural Interest, close to medieval sites such as Sant Llorenç de la Muga and just 25 km from the city of Figueres.

Routes through the valleys and mountains of the area with very important trails is the GR-11 that runs through the entire Pyrenees.

Go out and discover the high Pyrenean mountains:

• Horseback riding routes through characteristic natural spaces
• Hiking through excursions in which we will stop at the points that interest you most
• Mountain bike routes with slopes of the difficulty that you are able to face

Routes with all the ingredients for you to come and discover them in Alto Empordá.

The GR-11 long-distance trail crosses the region of Alta Garrotxa and Albanyà joining the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts. From Bassegoda Park we present sections of this itinerary going up and down the mountains without reaching the high peaks.

We offer very varied routes, simple to physically abuse, hard and demanding along the GR-11 and with ascents to mountains, and other more touristy ones with visits to churches in the region.

Choose between one of these hiking proposals:

• GR-11 Albanyà – Maçanet de Cabrenys, 14 km
• Sant Aniol d’Aguja – Albanyà, 18.7 km to travel in about 8 and a half hours
• Albanyà – Maçanet de Cabrenys – La Vajol
• Climb to Mount Bassegoda, 23 km with 5 hours of ascent.
• Muga Natural Trail, 40 km to be done in two days
• Paseo de Sant Antoni of 1.2 km, special for those who want to take a short walk
• Climb to the Sant Jordi hermitage of 5 km to travel 1 hour and 15 minutes from Sant Llorenç de la Muga.

You can take longer routes through the GR-11 for several days throughout the region.

From the Bassegoda Park campsite in Albanyà, in the Girona Pyrenees, endless mountain routes start so you can take one of our MTB bicycles > and pedal calmly or without rest through the Albanyà and upper Garrotxa region.

We have a network of forest tracks and paths that are a luxury for those in love with mountain biking. Paths such as the long-distance GR-11 and others that run between hermitages and lost villages, valleys and mountains.

You just have to choose one and embark on the adventure:

• Coll de Pincaró
• Alta Garrotxa
• Climbing Mount Bassegoda
• Water Route

These are the best-known routes but there are many others that you can follow. Ask us for information and we will detail the itinerary that may interest you the most depending on your desire and your physical resistance.

The duration of bicycle routes is usually several hours, reaching half a day in most of them, given the broken profile of almost all of them.
