Centre Hípic del Catllar

At the Center Hípic del Catllar we have 20 hectares dedicated to activities related to horse riding. The environment is perfect to enjoy nature since the interior of the Coll de Tapioles is located between the Mediterranean and the forested areas of El Catllar.

We focus both on the training of new riders and amazons as on leisure proposals in which the horses are always the protagonists. That's why when you come to see us you will find:

- Equestrian school : for all ages, from 4 years old. Thanks to the docility of our animals, learning is very easy from the beginning. Lessons are available between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and from 4.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. every day except Monday when we rest. The only variation of this schedule is on Sundays, a day that we only open in the morning. If it doesn't suit you, we adapt!

- Horseback riding through the forest and the beach : excursions for which we do not ask for a previous level of riding. We will explain to new participants how to act to ensure that anyone can have a great day on horseback.

- Equestrian camps : for kids from 4 years old and youngsters up to 17 on non-school days. They can be with us from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until 6 p.m. eating at the camp.

With the Center Hípic del Catllar you can ride a horse very close to the Mediterranean coast . You will leave from our facilities in Coll de Tapioles that give us quick access to the forests of this beautiful area of Tarragona.

Our horse riding routes are ideal for any adult even if they have never been in contact with equines. In fact, we can choose a route so simple that it suits the little ones in the family if you come with them. If they are too young to accompany you, we can prepare a pony ride so that they too can enjoy riding.

Stroll along the beach facing the Mediterranean on horseback or walk the rural roads that surround our farm. We will do it for at least 1 hour, from there we will customize the duration of the excursion to suit your tastes and knowledge. You can come almost any day of the year. The schedule is not a problem either because we will specify it with you.

Keep in mind that before leaving the facilities we are going to explain the orders that you must give the horse during the route and how you must position yourself to be comfortable and safe on it. With this you will have a small horse riding base that you can expand with our classes if you want to continue learning.

At the Center Hípic del Catllar we occupy the vacations of children from 4 to 17 years old with horse riding camps in which they expand their knowledge of horse riding in the perfect natural environment. That is why they take place both in the summer months and in the periods that they have free at Easter and during Christmas.

We have two schedules in which you can register your children:

- Only in the mornings : from 9 a.m. with pick-up at 2 p.m. including breakfast first thing in the morning.

- All-day camp : this shift we finish the activities at 6:00 p.m. incorporating lunch into the program at noon.

Any child is welcome even if he has not ridden a horse previously. We also have ponies so that the little ones can start getting used to riding.

Our animals will be the central axis of all activities, not just the horse riding classes . They will be part of our games and will help us to promote the responsibility of the little ones by incorporating them into their care and grooming routine. We will also go out to practice outdoor modalities always related to nature.
