Centro Ecuestre Tordesillas

At Centro Ecuestre Tordesillas we have been taking care of horses for a long time and offering experiences with them to people like you. We are in the center of Castilla y León, in the town of Tordesillas , and we belong to the Active Tourism group of the autonomous community in relation to horse riding routes.

We understand that the level of experience and skill is not the same for everyone, and that is why we have adapted the rides according to these parameters. The initiation route lasts 1 hour along the banks of the Duero River , which crosses Tordesillas, leaving a pleasant shore where you can walk at ease.

But if you have experience, we organize long-duration trips , even days, taking advantage of the fact that we are in a wine-producing area. Rueda white wine and Toro red are two Denominations of Origin that we will visit on one of these tours. Another is the Senda del Duero , from our equestrian center to Castronuño , where the natural reserve of its banks awaits us.

Within our equestrian center, we also organize summer camps focused, obviously, on horse riding. For children from 6 years old , you can choose between all the weeks of July and August so that your child comes from Monday to Saturday to learn to be a good rider and to respect these animals.

The day camp hours are from 9 in the morning to 2:30 in the afternoon . It will be enough time to do routes through the countryside and to know how to treat the horses inside the equestrian: to clean them, to know how much and when they have to eat and much more.

Can you think of a better plan for your children in the summer than a equestrian camp ? We organize during the months of July and August day camps at the Tordesillas Equestrian Center , in the center of the Castilian-Leon community.

Children from 6 years old can join our coexistence with horses, which we take care of with great effort to offer the best service. The little ones will come from e 9 in the morning to 2:30 in the afternoon from Monday to Saturday . They can choose any week of the two months of vacation to learn to ride a horse, but not only that. The values transmitted by this activity are very high, because respect for animals, understanding that they are living beings and not machines and that they also require trust, apart from living with other children, make empathy work and social relationships considerably.

We will dedicate the first moments to teach them how to ride, clean, feed and manage the attitude of the horses. They are necessary bases for every rider before going on routes through the countryside . The Duero River crosses Tordesillas , and we will continue its course on several routes that we have prepared throughout the week.

Apart from the equestrian activities, which we organize according to the initial level of each student, like any camp we have games of all kinds and even a bath at the end of each day, because the summer heat invites us to take a dip.

The monitors are experts in horsemanship and childcare, and will be attentive to them so that they have a complete learning and want to continue their relationship with horses in the future.

The center of Castilla y León is a great area to sign up for a horse riding route . At the Tordesillas Equestrian Center we organize outings on the back of our horses along the banks of the Duero River taking various directions, depending on the level you have and the time you have.

If you are concerned about your little (or no) horse riding experience, don't worry. One of our initiation routes , with a small previous class so that you gain confidence and a one-hour departure along the banks of the Duero, starting from our center in Tordesillas . If you come with children (over 3 years old), the monitors will be attentive to them so that they can also enjoy a ride on horseback.

But we also organize long-duration trips , which can be divided into days if you prefer, because they are excursions full of culture. We will do a wine tourism route , taking advantage of the fact that Valladolid is a land of wines with the Rueda and Toro Designations of Origin , where we will taste white and red wines among the Castilian vineyards.

The Senda del Duero is another long route. Departing from Tordesillas, we will walk along the Douro bank towards the southwest until we reach the Natural Reserve of the Riberas de Castronuño , known as the Greater Florida of the Duero .

Castilla has a lot to discover, and doing it on horseback is an experience that you have to live.
