At Danitguía we put at your disposal a large team of professionals so that you can enjoy all aspects of the mountain under the guidance of an expert guide.

We have several activities to do outdoors, you just have to choose the one you like the most!

• Hiking at all levels and at any time of year: we suggest that you take an excursion through the beautiful Sierra de La Demanda and the Oja Valley . You will get to know lush forests rich in a varied flora and fauna. If you like nature, you will love each of the routes.

• Snowshoe outings : a unique way to contemplate the white landscape that winter leaves in our beautiful Riojan mountains. There are several routes that differ in difficulty and length. Ask us and we will advise you on which is the one that best suits your conditions. If you need it, you can rent the material .

• BTT routes : live an experience full of adrenaline traveling the trails that cross the Sierra de La Demanda. Progressive ascents, short slopes, long descents, ... The itinerary is one of the most varied. You can do this activity at any time of the year.

• Backcountry skiing : go deep into the snowy forest and enjoy yourself thanks to the descents, wide blades and small runners. Our guide will adapt to all levels, from beginner to expert, so that each user can make the most of this adventure.

Enjoy, thanks to Danitguía , a sport as complete and comforting as cross-country skiing . We will take you through forests full of vegetation that you can cross while sliding. Pine groves, beech trees, ... they will seem like small green islands on an extensive white blanket of snow. A unique landscape.

You can go down steep trails , by wide shovels or small corridors , there is no better way to discharge adrenaline!

And if you want to get started in this activity, don't worry, we have an 8-hour initiation course so you can learn the basic pillars of this sport. All you need is to have an average level of alpine skiing and a lot of desire to learn.

With our instructors you will learn to:

• Acquire technical knowledge and practice maneuvers to carry out the activity with all safety regulations.

• Familiarize yourself with the material.

• Choose itineraries suitable to the conditions of a group.

• Make ascending turns, also called "Vuelta María".

It is recommended that you have your own material but, if you do not have it, we can leave it for you or advise you on your purchase.

From Danitguia we offer you a fun activity to do with your friends: a snowshoe outing . It is a winter sport that is gaining more popularity every year. To practice it, you just have to attach the rackets to the boots. These instruments will allow you to move more easily and quickly through frozen and snowy terrain.

It is a very exciting way to get to know the beautiful Sierra de La Demanda . You can walk through its forests and climb to the highest peaks, the only thing that can stop you is yourself.

Our guide will adapt to the level of the group and will elaborate a tailor-made excursion : from short routes, to get in touch with the sport, to steep ascents for the most expert.

You do not need to bring your own material as we give you the opportunity to rent it at our facilities. But do not forget to equip yourself with hiking boots, pants and fleece jacket, a windbreaker or raincoat, gloves and a hat . It will be quite cold! Don't forget to bring water and a snack in case you feel hungry.

Danitguía will provide you with rackets and poles, safety equipment, compulsory insurance and, of course, a professional mountain guide who will advise you on all the time.

The duration of the activity is 3 hours approximately.

What are you waiting to meet us?

In the Sierra de La Demanda there are a multitude of trails and tracks that will allow you to enjoy cycling at any time of the year. In Danitguía we will teach you all of them while you advance through short slopes or tests to ascend by progressive climbs. You can also test your techniques on the narrower trails or ensure the sensation of adrenaline for the long descents.

Our routes are custom designed , according to the level and tastes of the group in general. We can make long excursions through the beautiful landscapes of the Riojan mountains or prepare shorter routes that allow you to return to Ezcaray early to enjoy a day of sightseeing in the town.

To join these excursions we can provide you with a top brand mountain bike for rental .

Do not forget to bring comfortable clothing that allows you to perform movements easily and, above all, water to hydrate yourself . You will need it.

The price of the activity includes the mountain guide who will guide you through the landscapes and advise you on all the aspects you need.

At Danitguía we are lovers and passionate about the nature that surrounds us, therefore, we have traveled practically the entire Sierra de La Demanda to get to know the most beautiful corners of this landscape and to be able to offer them to all users who venture to live a hiking experience with us.

We have designed numerous routes , each one with characteristics that differentiate it from the others. They vary in length, in duration and, in addition, in thematic , so if you want to know a specific area, tell us in the reservation and we will design an excursion according to your tastes and characteristics as a group.

Some of the itineraries that we carry out pass through:

• Sagastia
• Tondeluna
• The Eagle
• Zabarrulla
• El Acebal
• Cesspool
• Usaya

All these routes are at least 5 km long and are usually circular to end where they started and thus facilitate transportation back home.

Our excursions are usually done with family or friends but you can also come individually and we will include you in a group that shares your characteristics.

We also make excursions through the Sierra de Gredos, the Picos de Europa or Pyrenees . Ask the availability in the reservation.

Our company Danitguía offers you a very interesting experience to do with family or friends: a orientation course in the mountains .

The activity will take place in Ezcaray , a beautiful town in La Rioja that you will be able to visit at the end of the course. To do it, it is not necessary to have prior knowledge, just the desire to have fun, meet new people and enjoy the natural environment.

The objectives of the course are:

• Acquire the skills necessary to safely develop routes through the mountains: cartography, map interpretation, navigation principles, etc.

• Learn to respect the natural environment and transmit values of respect and conservation.

Our outings include a Medium Mountain guide belonging to the Spanish Association of Mountain Guides, necessary materials for the development of the activity and mandatory insurance .

Don't forget to bring water to hydrate yourself and something to eat when you're hungry.

The duration of the experience lasts at least 8 hours and a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 10 are necessary to carry it out.

Come and enjoy the multitude of paths and tracks for the bicycle that we have in the surroundings of Ezcaray at any time of the year. Here there are itineraries in which you can start with the simplest routes, such as the Vía Verde del Oja, then the Camino de la Herradura, to routes for the most expert “bikers” immersed in the wonderful landscape of the Sierra of the Lawsuit.

At Danitguia we provide you quality bicycles , in sizes that correspond to the characteristics of adults and children, and we lend you the necessary accessories: helmet, repair kit, baby seat if you need it ... of the bicycle for half a day or the whole day.

The Sierra de la Demanda is a place of great natural interest for mountain biking routes and our experienced local guide, a great connoisseur of the terrain, will will help you find out. With Daniteguía you can follow a guided itinerary that takes you to know one of the moments that occur in nature throughout the year: the deer bellowing . In the Sierra de la Demanda, in the Ezcaray area, we will observe and listen to the sounds with which the males try to impose themselves and be attractive to the females of the group.

This activity can be done from the last week of September to mid-October . For this we choose the first moments of the morning, around 7 a.m., or the end of the afternoon around 6.15 p.m. with daily departures to give the greatest number of people the opportunity to experience this magical show.

The first part of the visit is done by vehicle, after which we will walk a short distance to reach the place where the animals will be spotted. In total we will spend 3 hours with full attention to you since we work in small groups of up to 4 people.
We provide you with the transport and the necessary material for the observation as well as the guide service that will accompany you and give you the appropriate explanations so that you enjoy the experience to the fullest.
