Jon Sanz Mountain Guides is a company dedicated to the organization of mountain activities throughout the Spanish territory. It has its origins in 2007 and was created with the aim of making known the world of hiking, mountaineering and mountains in general in all its specialties (climbing, orienteering, snowshoeing, via ferrata, ravines,...).

We are a young group, very motivated by what we do, but with a lot of experience in carrying out activities and teaching. All of us are qualified mountain guides, who coordinate the activities and outings.

We organize hiking, climbing, orienteering, mountaineering, mountaineering, >courses, snowshoes, via ferratas, etc... always in the natural environment. We also prepare mountain sports activities for groups and companies: 4x4 raids, orienteering races, multi-activity circuits, etc...

All activities are conducted by qualified and specialized professionals with extensive experience in each of the disciplines we offer. Our organization is registered in various Autonomous Communities in the corresponding Active Tourism registries. We arrange activity insurance (included in the price) for all activities.

Orienteering is the most important mountain discipline. All our mountain activities (from simple hiking to more technical activities) require good planning. Orientation provides us with the greatest source of information about itineraries, type of terrain, emergency routes, objective dangers, etc., necessary to plan excursions well and, ultimately, guarantee our safety.

Furthermore, while carrying out mountain activities we must always be able to determine our position to understand the status of the exit, see how much we have left, reach the objective or notify the rescue teams in case of an accident. Orientation is the instrument that gives us control of the exit.

At Jon Sanz Mountain Guides we are aware of the importance of orientation and we have developed Orientation Courses that aim to teach you the most important aspects of this discipline: interpretation of maps, use of a compass, handling of GPS, orientation tricks, etc... We follow a practical and dynamic method, with which you will learn actively and enjoying, being participants in the activity.

We carry out special courses on the use of GPS and Digital Orientation.

All participants in the courses will obtain a Certificate of Achievement that certifies their completion.

We have also specialized in the organization of Orientation Tests and Races. We organize the most original circuits, at all levels of difficulty, so that you and your group of friends, club, class, etc. can spend a fun day competing in nature.

Via ferratas offer the possibility of entering the vertical world of rock and heights for those who do not have great climbing knowledge or are familiar with the use of ropes and specific techniques.

These are itineraries equipped with stirrups, agrarres, cables, stairs, bridges, zip lines, etc ... that allow progress on terrain that, if not equipped, would require climbing techniques and gestures. This does not mean that these are itineraries open to the general public. Making ferratas safely requires very specific material and it is necessary to follow some basic protocols and safety rules . In addition, Spanish via ferratas are usually quite sporty and vertical (even collapsed) and can put the bravest in a bind. For all these reasons, we always recommend help and guidance from professionals.
