La Morada del Caballo

At La Morada del Caballo we have achieved the perfect union between equestrian services and the environment offered by the Guadarrama Natural Park . We believe that you all deserve to enjoy this setting equally, that is why our proposals are aimed at equestrian regulars, people who want to spend a different time of leisure, and children from an early age. These are some of them:

- Riding lessons : we give them to adults and children who have reached 8 years old . They normally participate in them in groups, although private sessions of a minimum of 30 minutes can be booked. They are of all levels in the modalities of jumping, TREC, in the discipline of dressage, raid or, if you prefer, vaulting.

- Equestrian routes : we have planned itineraries around the surroundings that focus on a specific destination according to the time you want to spend on the horse. Without limiting ourselves to one hour, we will see Aguas Vertientes from El Espinar along mountain paths, being the most suitable ride for those who begin to ride. With half a day on horseback we can go to Peguerinos or to the La Panera area.

- Equestrian camps : for toddlers from 4 years old, with ponies , and students from 8 with horses. They are daily during the different school holidays of the year until 2:00 p.m. or with collection at 6:00 p.m.

At La Morada del Caballo Horse Riding we carry out routes from 1 hour, several hours and planning several days in advance.

The routes are carried out according to the level of the client. The horses are all very docile and adapted to the level of the rider, whether they are adults or children (from 8 years ).

For our routes we offer included in the price: accident insurance, our guides certified by the equestrian federation, with whom you will always be in the hands of professionals and approved technical material to practice horse riding. With everything prepared we go out to do:

- Excursions of a couple of hours through Aguas Vertientes : these are departures of at least 60 minutes because we consider it to be the time that anyone not used to horse riding can enjoy without exhausting themselves. We will walk through the mountains seeing the Sierra de Guadarrama, starting and returning to the farm that we have in El Espinar.

- Half-day horseback riding: if we dedicate more time to the route, we will have the opportunity to contemplate the Minas de Cal , which are in Vegas de Matute, or the peak of Cabeza Reina that stands out in these places.

- Horseback riding with accommodation: without restricting days we can even go to Valsaín and ride until we reach La Granja de San Ildefonso. We will ride the whole day and rest in arranged establishments along the way.

La Morada del Caballo Donkey Rides , apart from horseback riding, we have a nice little donkey that you also have the opportunity to meet. In this way, you will get closer to a species that currently lives on most occasions in refuges and equestrian centers in our country, protected from the extinction that awaited it after ceasing to be used in agricultural work.

Our donkey is called Rudolf and he is very tame so he is ideal for walking the little ones around our farm. It is a walk controlled by the parents who will guide him, staying constantly with the child. Therefore there is no minimum age to start riding. It is a beautiful moment of connection between parents and their little ones in a natural environment.

We rent it for 30 minutes or 1 hour but it is necessary to notify in advance since Rudolf lives so happily in an 11 hectare meadow and we have to prepare it. The activity is done with the utmost care for this animal.

Your children are sure to return home satisfied and it is a great way to start them riding an animal while educating them on respect for animals.

At La Morada del Caballo Equestrian Camps we organize official courses and summer equestrian camps.

We are in the Sierra de Guadarrama, an ideal environment for camping in the middle of nature. Our facilities have a capacity for 20 people and are fully equipped.

The activities that we carry out in these equestrian camps are:

• Horse riding: theory and practice of all aspects related to the world of the horse.
• Creative workshops
• Adventure activities: hiking, mountain biking, orientation, ...
• Playful activities such as games or evenings at night.

We created two age groups to better serve the participants. Thus, the youngest, from 4 to 7 years old , will be part of the Pony Club program. Those over 8 years old are already at the right time of growth to ride horses.

The camps are held during the weekday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the afternoon, with the option of pick-up at 6 p.m. Children staying all day must bring food from home. To coincide with school holidays, they begin on July 3 and end on September 1.

At the La Morada del Caballo equestrian center we carry out day trips designed for companies. These routes serve to encourage companionship and relax from the stress that hard work produces, especially if it is in the city.

For this we propose excursions on horseback, bicycle rental and a barbecue for lunch, all surrounded by a spectacular natural environment in the middle of Sierra de Guadarrama . We will visit places in the province of Segovia that are characterized by easy access for groups that do not have to be made up of people of the same level. Going to any of these points we will be part of a low level output that can reach medium level at most.

We can show you places from the horse such as Cerro de Cabeza Reina , which belongs to the town of Los Ángeles de San Rafael. If you want more to walk the steps that the traditional pilgrimages follow, we will introduce you to this tradition by reproducing the pilgrimage path of the Christ or following the Navas de San Antonio path.

Also, if you prefer a team building of several days, we can get to part of the Camino de Santiago , in its part from León, or use the Cañada Real Soriana to ride.

At La Morada del Caballo we put our facilities at your service for the celebration of that bachelor party that you are preparing. The location is unbeatable because we are in El Espinar, in Segovia, which allows us to remain in contact with the natural environment near key points such as Madrid.

In addition to preparing a snack on the farm, we can go horseback riding through Aguas Vertientes . It is a mountain area that is included in the Sierra de Guadarrama and its natural park in which we will choose the itinerary according to your experience. The more you know about horse riding, the longer the ride can be:

- Walks for beginners : these are those that last 60 minutes, even 2 hours and this time is already enough to see the oak forests around our facilities.

- Excursions of between 3 and 6 hours : they are not complex although they require a little more resistance on the horse. As they are more extensive, they allow us to reach points such as Las Lagunillas , Las Vegas de Matute to see the Cal Mines or even the Cabeza Reina area.

If you dare with the more complex proposal, we can spend several days getting to know the Biosphere Reserve to La Granja arranging accommodation for the night.
