Las Lagartijas is an Environmental School located in La Minosa, a small town in Guadalajara. Our work focuses on promoting environmental education to preserve the natural environment. Through our activities we seek to raise awareness of current environmental damage and promote respect for nature.

Our programs are intended for all users. We have a wide range of leisure activities for adults, but also for the little ones in the house. Since they are the future, we see it as essential to promote good treatment of nature from these ages. Furthermore, to be in full contact with it but with the best conditions, we put at your disposal a hostel where you can carry out our activities or enjoy coexistence.

Due to our location, we have the possibility of getting to know the environment in a privileged way. We invite you to discover another way of life outside the big city. Breathe fresh air and surround yourself with nature, leaving buildings and car smoke aside. Las Lagartijas Hiking brings you the possibility of discovering La Miñosa. This beautiful town awaits you with its extensive cultural heritage and natural landscapes.

This corner of Alcarreño will allow you to enjoy walking excursions in which you can soak up the cultural and natural wealth of the area. With our itineraries, you can practice hiking in any season of the year. Thus. We will adapt to the climatic conditions and the needs of our users.

For the spring season, the best option is to take excursions through the mountain formations with aquatic areas. Discover incredible waterfalls where nature is at its peak. Thanks to the high rains produced in the winter, you will cross mighty streams and you will be able to enjoy the first mushrooms.

If you choose to go hiking in autumn, our activity will focus on mycological excursions. With our routes you will learn to collect mushrooms. You will be able to carry out this collection thanks to the basic notions that our crane will teach you. You will learn about the species that can be found in the Alcarreña mountains, if they are edible and, if so, how they are prepared to enjoy this delicious delicacy.

During the summer season you will experience the aquatic world that Guadalajara offers us with numerous rivers and pools. Our routes will end in the best places to enjoy a swim. The rainwater and river waters of this province of La Mancha offer you the possibility of diving into one of the purest waters.

To combine the natural world with the cultural world, you can also travel the Rural Romanesque Route, with which you will get to know the different artistic enclaves of the province of Guadaljara; and the Ruta del Cid, with which you will retrace the steps of this great Spanish historical figure.
