The history of the donkey has always accompanied the human being serving him until he found better options to optimize the work in the Field. At Burruticas Project we were saddened to think that after millennia of extreme exploitation this species was destined for extinction due to lack of use, as if it were an old machine.

Our idea is to become, not owners, but companions of these charming animals, creating a new concept of active tourism. With this, we fulfill the double objective of promoting environmental awareness through leisure, providing wonderful moments to those who visit us, and contributing to the conservation of the donkey avoiding all the suffering that so long ago has been carried on its back.

The transfer to practice of this idea has materialized in:

- Trekking and hiking routes with our animals in the Ricote Valley (Murcia) In this way we know at the same time the details of the environment and those of this species that makes you fall in love instantly.

- Cultural visits in which we will explain what are the customs that the inhabitants of the area have kept alive, as well as those that have already been lost and deserve to be remembered to become aware of who we are.

- Rafting in large inflatable rafts to complete your visit with an aquatic alternative.

We recommend that you come as a family because it is key to start training the little ones so that in the future they maintain the natural values of our planet. You will discover how gratifying it is to live with animals, making them a little happier.

Upon reaching Puente de Hierro , a very picturesque town in Cieza, the group will eat at a picnic all together where you can talk and get to know each other much better. And that is where the adventure that you will never forget begins.

In inflatable rafts , all people over 6 years old will be able to enjoy a rafting descent down one of the most beautiful rivers in Murcia. You will cross the river to Abarán where the journey began.

Enjoy the weirs and ferris wheels while you go down. And to put a link to the activity, you can go to El Jarral where you will carry out the complementary activity of rollerball .

Donkeys are very friendly and cuddly animals, so a donkey ride is ideal for people of all ages.

children under 12 years old will have to share the donkey ride with the adult guide and will be able to do the entire ride on the back because, in general, their weight does not it tends to tire the donkey.

In Proyecto Burruticas we have the mission of returning to the mules and burritos part of what they have done for the man throughout history helping him to develop his agricultural works. We strive to ensure that the nobility of these animals is not lost in time by managing excursions and trips to do hiking with them . This allows us to know the environment in an original and sustainable way.

We will share an exit to get into the Murcian ethnography with a tour of very simple roads for the whole family. We will go walking although you can ask the guide to climb the animals at specific points. If you take children, they can go on donkeys during the whole activity because it will not be a great effort for our beloved specimens. We will have you prepared:
