Description of Club Nàutic Port d'Aro

Club Náutic Port d'Aro was born in 1984 with the purpose of bringing the world of dinghy sailing closer to amateurs and athletes. Little by little and given the demand to be located in an area as visited as Platja d 'Aro , we have been incorporating new activities such as boat trips or regattas among those who want to cheer up.

Among the members of our club we have Olympic medalists who will be delighted to share with those initiated in the world of sailing some of their best tricks.

Currently, our club competes in three different categories:

  • Optimist. Very characteristic for the type of boat used. One-man with measures of 240 centimeters in length and 150 in sleeve specially designed for children. The best way to start!
  • 420. It consolidates the knowledge learned in previous stages. Its name, 420, makes direct reference to the length of its length. The boats for this modality do not have an engine and are also flat and rounded.
  • Europe . Another step for those who want to continue learning different variants in the world of sailing. The Europa modality is characterized by characteristics of the boat such as that it must have a sail area of 7 square meters and a length of 335 centimeters.
If you are passionate about the world of sailing, if you want to enjoy the sea and the wind pushing the sails, you cannot miss the opportunity to stop by our club.
