Camping Esponellà

At Camping Esponellà you have activities and accommodation within reach in a space that will allow you to rest very close to the main points of interest in Girona. We are located towards the north, taking as reference Pla de l'Estany and in the area close to key tourist municipalities such as Banyoles and Figueres.

We care about maintaining facilities in which everyone feels comfortable as a family, even with your pets. We have for you:

- Own activities: in addition to the multiple options around the nearby natural parks of Aiguamolls and La Garrotxa, we offer you alternatives on the same campsite. The main ones are kayak navigation and sport fishing. For these modalities we take advantage of the Fluvià river with its calm waters in the section that is next to the campsite.

We also have a minigolf where the little ones can spend hours. It has a total of 18 holes and is available to the campers we receive.

- Accommodation in bungalows: the cabins have between 6 and 9 beds and are conditioned for both summer and winter temperatures. They have a bathroom with a shower and a small kitchen that doubles as a dining room with basic appliances such as a microwave. In addition, so you can enjoy the outdoors, they have a porch with chairs and tables.

- Restaurant open to the public: in the bar-restaurant we base ourselves on traditional food with local products, we host celebrations and sell the basic products that campers may need. The menus are adapted to the tastes of adults and children and you can order dishes to take away.

- Swimming pools: we have two and they are heated so that they can be used permanently. One of them is aimed at minors and the other for the entire family.

At Camping Esponellà we have kayaks so you don't even have to leave our facilities every time you feel like going for a sailing trip. Part of the bed of the Fluvià River runs through the premises itself, making this sport an activity that you can do at any time while you stay with us.

If you are already a camper, go to the reception so they can tell you where to board. The rates are independent of the stay but they are very affordable. We have chosen this discipline because it adapts very well to the entire family. You can rent several kayaks and share them or take them individually.

We propose tours of around 1 hour, depending on the time you want to take. We count these 60 minutes from the moment you are in the channel, they do not include the preparation time while we give you some general instructions.

You will row through a calm space made up of forest on both sides of the river in waters that are not difficult, not even for children. Although it is safe, we are going to leave you a life jacket so you can put it on before you start.

Come see us from the main capitals in the surrounding area. We are just over an hour from Barcelona and only 30 km from Girona.

Enjoy fishing without any rush by staying a few days at Camping Esponellà. We are a paradise for the fisherman because we are lucky to be next to the Fluvià River where, if you have authorization, you are welcome.

Our facilities coincide with a section of this channel where catches abound. These banks are characterized by being the home of species such as carp and barbel and are in a good state of conservation. The images around the banks emanate peace with lush green forests that completely transform their colors in the cold times of the year. The fresh water it offers comes from the Garrotxa region.

The sport fishing that can be carried out here should be done without haste. They are chair fishing sessions, patience and calm, placing the rods at the foot of the water until you begin to notice that the fish are focusing on the hooks thrown. At the campsite you have everything you may need for the wait. We can even prepare food for you to take with you by requesting it at the complex's restaurant.

You will find the campsite just one kilometer from Esponellà towards Crespià and there is easy access taking the road that connects Banyoles with Figueres.
