Magic Empordá

With Magic Empordá you can carry out different water activities in the Boadella reservoir. We have motor boats capable of taking you at breakneck speeds and enjoying the sports that usually take place at sea, benefiting us, in our case, from a much calmer and more controlled environment.

At the Club Náutico de Darnius, where we are, you will be able to:

- Learn water skiing and waterskiing: without any prerequisites, it is enough to be 5 years old. Our method is based on acquiring some safety on the dock before getting into the water. Knowing what awaits you, you will easily keep control of the situation and move forward quickly.

- Kayak and canoes: on routes throughout the pantando for any age in 2-hour rides for adults and 60 minutes for the little ones since we consider that it is the appropriate time for their physical resistance.

- Banana fun: from 6 years old you can climb this inflatable attraction for 20 intense minutes in which our boat will test your resistance and ability not to fall into the water.

At Magic Empordá we carry out kayaks excursions through the Boadella reservoir , guided tours by our team of instructors who will share with you their experience with the oars .

This Girona reservoir has more than 100 navigable hectares, taking advantage of the dimensions of the reservoir, we also carry out aquatic orientation exercises.

The options that we propose are divided by age groups:

- Aimed at adults: 2-hour trips to explore the entire coastline of the reservoir in boats for a single participant, doubles or for three people at the same time.

- For children: in this we almost limit the navigation time to 1 hour, maintaining the characteristics of the activity and the different capacities of the boats but reducing the duration of the route so that it does not involve excessive wear and tear.

At the Darnius Yacht Club you can rest after the activity, in the restaurant we offer a tasting menu of typical food from the area.

Would you like to practice wakeboarding without leaving Girona? In Magic Empordá you can practice this sport in the magnificent Boadella reservoir , show how you move on skis without having to take any course or class.

If, on the other hand, you are looking for an initiation course that will teach you the technique of water skiing in a simple and dynamic way, our school is open from Monday to Friday in the morning and in the afternoon between the months of May and October where we receive students from 5 years.

Joaquín González, an elite athlete in this discipline, is personally in charge of training you as follows:

- First on the dock: we do not have to spend intense hours between boring theoretical concepts. We know that they are necessary but you will learn them as you go, with the materials in your hands so that you can see their shape and handling, having fun from the first moment.

- Afterwards in the water: we get going and we attach you to the boat where, before moving on to the traditional cable to which we attach ourselves in this discipline, we will use a fixed bar that will give you extra stability. We are so confident of your success that we guarantee that you will be able to ski from the initial lesson.

You can also spend the day at Club Náutico Darnius , which has a restaurant that serves all users of the reservoir.

At Magic Empordá we operate in the Girona boadella swamp , a reservoir that was created for energy production purposes and which now has the most complete Nautical Club in the area.

In this calm water location we find the perfect place to learn to ride the surface of the water on a wakeboard since the absence of waves makes it easier for you to progress faster and not be afraid of losing control of the material.

You will also follow the teaching methods of runner-up of Spain Joaquín González Revuelta , with a title of Nautical Ski instructor at the national level.

This is the process we follow since you come to visit us:

- We serve adults and children, as long as they have reached the age of 5, since we believe that it is never too early to begin to internalize these kinds of concepts.

- We start with a theoretical class on the same dock where we see what the material is like and we focus on how to hold on to the rope that will be attached to the boat that is going to tow you.

- We equip you with a life jacket and put you on the board to get into the water. You will give yourself the occasional roll at the beginning but it is only a matter of time.
