Paberwind Kitesurf School

Paberwind Kitesurf School is a Kitesurf School located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria made up of professional instructors and IKO graduates, who have extensive experience in navigation and practice teacher. As true lovers of the sea and this sport, they transmit in each class respect and their knowledge of the natural environment that surrounds them. More than an activity, you will learn a true way of life.

Within our classes the level of the student does not matter , you will always learn and see how your level increases in a short space of time. You will get to do things that you would never have imagined such as jumps, risky maneuvers or different types of navigation. You will learn with the latest technology and the best brands on the market, which guarantees to learn safely and confidently.

Our course offer is divided into Kitesurfing and Wakeboarding activities . Both sports are exciting and fun, in addition to sharing technique they also use specific movements specially designed for them.

The Kitesurf course is divided into land classes and water classes. In the land classes you will learn to control the kite, kite theory, safety exercises and everything you need to start practicing in the water safely. The land classes are individual or in pairs, maximum two people.

Once in the water we will enter the sea with a zodiac for our safety. You will begin to practice with the board, where you will be able to experience the first sensations of sliding on the sea.

The water classes are for two to three people maximum, each student will have a walkie integrated in the helmet that is communicated to the monitor, which will correct you at all times so that your progress is faster, while you feel safe.

There are different course modalities:

Complete course that includes;
- 8 hours / classes of land
- 3 hours of water class with zodiac as a support boat

Complete course and wake consisting of:
- 8 hours of lessons in the sand
- 3 more hours in the water, also with zodiac
- 45 minutes of wake up

You can also take individual classes to complete the course:
- On land
- With zodiac for a total of 3 hours.

Improvement classes and maneuvers:
- On the beach for 120 minutes.
- With a boat in the water of the same duration.

In all kinds of water you are equipped with a walkie communicating with the monitor, for the necessary instructions and corrections that make you progress much faster.

In wake classes you will feel the adrenaline of sliding onthe sea, you can surf the wave that forms the zodiac, you just have to bring your swimsuit and come and have fun!

Wake class that could be:
- 30 minutes
- 45 minutes

We also have the latest technology equipment to rent and sell: Kites, boards, harness, vest, helmet ... we also have all the accessories you need for kitesurfing: windbreakers, wetsuits, lycra, board covers, clothing ... Our team of professionals will be happy to pass on their knowledge of this exciting sport and the natural environment that surrounds us. Our monitors are IKO graduates, at the end of the course you will obtain an IKO certificate that certifies your level and that will allow you to rent material anywhere in the world you travel to.

The course consists of two parts: the classes in the sand and the classes in the water.
In the classes in the sand you will learn to control the kite and relate to the environment, such as knowing where the wind comes from, identifying the most suitable kite for those conditions, and ultimately, being self-sufficient so that when you finish the course you can practice the kite in a safe and fun way.
Classes in the arena can be individual or in pairs.
For the classes in the water we have a zodiac as a support boat , this is where you start to practice with the board and have the first sensations of sliding on the sea.
In water classes the student wears a walkie integrated into his helmet that is communicated to the monitor, to be able to correct it and make him feel safer and accompanied at all times.
Classes in the water are for two to three people maximum.

We go to the beaches and spots that have the best conditions on the day of your appointment to:

- Take a kitesurfing course : in which any student has a place, so you are welcome even if you have different levels or no knowledge. We start on the beach and go to the sea in the safest way with a support boat in which we do a detailed monitoring of each one.

- Practice wake : for which you also have a discount just for coming in a group. We will go out by boat to tow you one by one while you balance yourself in the water using a board.

If you already know these modalities but have not brought your equipment to Gran Canaria, you can rent it at our school. Also, if you like something we have in particular, we also sell it to you both new and second-hand.
