The first wine-making activities of the Gonzales family date back to the end of the 19th century, but it was not until 1915 that the first wine-making facilities were founded in the ancient Phoenician settlement of Mesas de Asta.
The founder's son dedicated his entire life to the art of creating our wines by hand, a condition that he bequeathed to his sons, current owners and managers of Bodegas Almocaden , who have enthusiastically collected the legacy of their parents, giving the final impulse to the initial project.
A family business recognized for the effort and care with which it crafts its products, all of them of great quality. The vineyards are located in the prestigious Carrascal and Macharnudo payments. Between the two is the payment of Almocaden, a name of Arabic origin that means Captain of the troops in charge of taking care of the fields.
The Bodegas Almocaden facilities are a clear reflection of the coexistence between tradition and modernity, a place where love for the product is breathed in every corner. Without a doubt, a perfect place to learn about the winemaking process, practicing wine tourism.
