Description of Bodegas Almocaden

The first winery activities of the Gonzales family date back to the end of the 19th century, but it was not until 1915 when the first winery facilities were founded in the ancient Phoenician settlement of Mesas de Asta.

The son of the founder dedicated his entire life to the art of artisanally raising our wines, a condition that he bequeathed to his children, current owners and managers of Bodegas Almocaden, who have collected with great enthusiasm the legacy of their parents, giving the definitive impetus to the initial project.

A family-owned company recognized for the effort and care with which it handcrafts its products, all of them of high quality. The vineyards are located in the prestigious Carrascal and Macharnudo vineyards. Between the two is the payment of Almocaden, a name of Arabic origin that means Captain of troops in charge of taking care of the fields.

The facilities of Bodegas Almocaden are a clear reflection of the coexistence between tradition and modernity, a place where love for the product is breathed in every corner. Without a doubt, a perfect place to learn about the winemaking process, practicing wine tourism.
