At Aiarasmi we have sports for any time of the year. From the Aran Valley we prepare adventure activities so that everyone who comes does not leave with the feeling of having wasted the day.

Winter is the time of year that we like the most and that is why we have prepared a large number of activities such as snowshoeing routes or practicing cross-country skiing. But we will not only use the snow to walk through it, we will also slide down the snowy slopes to get a great dose of adrenaline while practicing skiing or snowboarding.
The rest of the year we go hiking on all the paths you can imagine. From the river banks to the glacial lakes of the valley and the highest waterfalls that will hypnotize you with their sound. The towns in the Aran Valley region hide a very special Romanesque architecture that you can also visit with a wide range of excursions.

In addition to the routes on foot, you can choose routes with the MTB and cross the paths quickly or make descents from great heights.

So that you can learn to ski in a personalized way, we have prepared different courses at all levels so that you can find a group that fully adapts to your needs. So if you are ready to learn on the best slopes in the Aran Valley, choose between one of these options:

• Initiation skiing: although at the lowest level we will ask you to have some very basic notions about movement. If you have ever skied on your own, it will not be difficult for you to keep up with the group and be able to descend safely.

• Intermediate level skiing: you have to know how to move in the snowto come to this group. As you will be somewhat more professional, we will take you to slopes with a certain slope where you will have to use the best techniques to follow the instructor's instructions and learn in the best way possible.

• Professional skiing: we will train you at a high technical level. You must follow the monitor's instructions as it will prepare you to react in the most complicated conditions. You will also have to be able to control the skis perfectly and maintain balance throughout the day.

We want you to have the best Snowboard class in the entire Aran Valley. Our instructors will help you maintain your balance on the board and, little by little, you will be able to do maneuvers that will leave everyone who looks at you with their mouths open.

But to reach a good level you have to start from the basics and we will give you classes according to your experience:

• Initiation: for 4 hours you will discover the most basics of snowboarding. It is a totally beginner activity so if you have some level of skill we do not recommend doing it. You will learn to maintain your balance and slide lightly in areas where the slopes are not particularly steep.

• Improvement: if you want to see what you are capable of, this is the perfect option. The terrain is of medium difficulty and we will encounter certain unevenness. You will need to be alert for the 4 hours that the activity lasts to be able to learn as much as possible and descend with the snowboard quickly.

• Professionals: you will mainly acquire technical notions. You have to be able to exceed your limits and dare to take on slopes where the slopes are very pronounced. Bring gloves and glasses because you are going to spend 4 hours in the mountains and you will have to protect yourself from the cold and snow on the slopes.

Snowshoes are the best type of footwear for traveling through the snow. At Aiarasmi we know that not everyone is equally agile when traveling the trails and that there are different levels to take into account when enhancing the activity.

• Initiation level: we will do an excursion that lasts more or less 2 and a half hours so it is quite simple. We recommend you come with a backpack that has a raincoat in case it starts to snow and also some hiking boots that insulate you from the cold.

• Medium level: it is the next step even when you have tried the easiest routes. They are excursions of 4 or 5 hours depending on your tastes and you should bring a hat, gloves and glasses to protect yourself from the snow. It is also advisable to come with a snack or meal since you are going to be in the mountains for a long time and you may get hungry.

• High Level: it is the hardest route. You will wear the snowshoes for 7 or 8 hours depending on the route you wanted to do. It will be necessary to bring food and water for when we make a stop in the middle of the activity and comfortable, warm shoes so that your feet do not suffer during the activity.

Throughout the year we also do other special activities with rackets such as races and marathons in which we invite anyone who wants a day full of fun to participate.

You will really like the background activity that we are going to propose. This sport can be practiced at different levels and in different modalities and we are capable of organizing any type.

• Classic: we prepare activities both for families and for groups of friends who want to enjoy the snow in a simple and safe way. Cross-country skiing days always start at 10 in the morning and we will be in the snow until around 2 in the afternoon. The terrain will be flat and is marked so you won't get lost or have a hard time keeping up with the activity.

• Free: it is, above all, for professionals. It is a long activity and one that will be difficult for you to carry out if you have never done it before since the trips will be made outside of circuits. As it is a somewhat more special modality, we will use backcountry cross-country skis. The rest of the materials will be the same and we will ask you to bring gloves, glasses and food.

Among the trees and mountains of the Arán Valley hide the best paths and routes that will make you enjoy hiking whether you are a beginner or a professional hiker.

The shortest routes are 1 hour and a half and the longest is more than 7 hours. It will depend on you and your physical characteristics to do one or the other, although you will surely love whichever one you choose.

On your way you will pass impressive waterfalls and a large number of lakes. As the Aran Valley has glacial characteristics, you will find almost 300 lakes and lagoons where you will enjoy the most incredible views.

If you want more rural routes you can choose the ones we do between the different towns spread across the mountain. Among its streets and alleys you will find Romanesque churches that you will love if you are an art or architecture fan.

When time permits, we also plan mountaineering days in which we will be able to reach the highest mountains that are over 3000 meters.

Within the Aran Valley, there are the best roads and paths on which you can pedal and ride a bicycle without problems or difficulties whatever your level.

Among the trails you will find signs and route recommendations to continue forward according to different degrees of complexity. So you can follow routes of:

• Basic level: you always go with a guide and the routes are along simple paths and routes in the Aran Valley. It is ideal to come with the family since the terrain is flat and not too hard, so the only thing you have to know is how to move around on the bike.

• Medium level: Once you have met the guide, it will be time to move on to slightly more complex terrain. There will be roads where you will even have to get off your bike and walk because it will be difficult if you are not a professional.

• Advanced level: they are dizzying routes that start at the top of the ski resorts or on the slopes where the slope is quite steep. As this is an experience for professionals, we wanted to organize full-day activities so you will have to have a lot of stamina to overcome the challenges we propose.
