At Aiarasmi we have sports for any time of the year. From the Valle de Aran we prepare adventure activities so that everyone who comes does not leave with the feeling of having wasted the day.

Winter is the time of year that we like the most and that is why we have prepared a large number of activities such as routes with snowshoes or practicing cross-country skiing . But we will not only use the snow to walk on it, we will also slide down the snowy slopes to get a great dose of adrenaline while practicing skiing or snowboarding.

The rest of the year we practice hiking on all the paths you can imagine. From the banks of the rivers to the glacial lakes of the valley and the highest waterfalls that will mesmerize you with their sound. The villages of the Aran Valley region hide a very special Romanesque architecture that you can also visit with a wide range of excursions.

In addition to the routes on foot, you can choose routes with the MTB and traverse the roads quickly or make descents from great heights.

For you to learn to ski in a personalized way, we have prepared different courses at all levels so that you can find a group that fully adapts to your needs. So if you are ready to learn on the best slopes of the Valle de Aran , choose between one of these options:

• Initiation skiing: although the lowest level we will ask you to have very basic notions about displacement . If you've ever practiced skiing on your own, it won't be difficult to keep up with the group and get down safely.

• Mid-level skiing: you have to know how to move on the snow to come to this group. As you will be more professional, we will take you to slopes with a certain slope where you must use the best techniques to follow the instructions of the monitor and learn in the best possible way.

• Professional skiing: we will train you to a high technical level . You should follow the instructions on the monitor as it will prepare you to react in the most difficult conditions. You will also have to be able to control your skis perfectly and keep your balance throughout the day.

We want you to have the best Snowboard class in the entire Arán Valley. Our monitors will help you to maintain your balance on the board and that, little by little, you will be able to do maneuvers that will leave everyone who looks at you with their mouths open.

But to reach a good level you have to start from the basics and we will give you classes according to your experience:

• Initiation: for 4 hours you will discover the most basic of snowboarding. It is a totally initiation activity so if you have something of a level we do not recommend doing it. You will learn to keep your balance and to glide slightly in areas where the slopes are not particularly steep.

• Overcoming: if you want to see what you are capable of, this is the perfect option. The terrain is of medium difficulty and we will find certain slopes. You will need to be alert for the 4 hours that the activity lasts to be able to learn as much as possible and descend with the snowboard quickly.

• Professionals: you will acquire above all technical notions. You have to be able to overcome your limits and dare with slopes where slopes are very steep . Bring gloves and glasses because you are going to spend 4 hours in the mountains and you will have to protect yourself from the cold and snow on the track.

Snowshoes are the best type of footwear for touring the snow. At Aiarasmi we know that not everyone is equally agile walking the roads and that there are different levels to take into account when enhancing the activity.

• Initiation level: we will do an excursion that lasts more or less 2 and a half hours so it is quite simple. We recommend you come with a backpack that has a raincoat in case it starts to snow and also some hiking boots that insulate you from the cold.

• Medium level: is the next step for when you have tried the easier routes. They are excursions of 4 or 5 hours depending on your tastes and you should bring a hat, gloves and glasses to protect yourself from the snow. It is also advisable to come with a sandwich or food since you will be in the mountains for a long time and you may get hungry.

• High Level: is the hardest route. You will wear the snowshoes for 7 or 8 hours depending on the route you have wanted to do. It will be necessary to bring food and water for when we make a stop in the middle of the activity and comfortable and warm shoes so that your feet do not suffer during the activity.

Throughout the year we also do other special activities with rackets such as races and marathons in which we invite anyone who wants a fun-filled day to participate.

You will like the background activity that we are going to propose a lot. This sport can be practiced at different levels and in different modalities and we are capable of organizing any type.

• Classic: we prepare activities both for families and for groups of friends who want to enjoy the snow in a simple and safe way. The days of cross-country skiing always start at 10 in the morning and we will be in the snow until around 2 in the afternoon . The terrain will be flat and signposted so you will not get lost or it will be difficult for you to keep up with the activity.

• Free: is, above all, for professionals. It is a long activity and it will be difficult for you to carry it out if you have never done it before since the trips will be made outside the circuits. As it is a somewhat more special modality, we will use backcountry cross-country skis . The rest of the materials will be the same and we will ask you to bring gloves, glasses and food.

Among the trees and mountains of the Arán Valley hide the best paths and tracks that will make you enjoy hiking whether you are a beginner or a professional hiker.

The shortest routes are 1 hour and a half and the longest more than 7 hours . It will depend on you and your physical characteristics to perform one or the other, although you will surely love any of the ones you choose.

On your way you will pass impressive waterfalls and a large number of lakes. As the Aran Valley has glacial characteristics, you will find almost 300 lakes and lagoons s where you will enjoy the most incredible views.

If you want more rural routes, you can choose the ones we do between the different villages scattered around the mountain. Among its streets and alleys you will find Romanesque churches s that you will love if you are a fan of art or architecture.

When the weather allows it, we also plan mountaineering days in which we will be able to reach the highest mountains that are located over 3000 meters .

Among the trails you will find signs and recommendations for routes to continue according to different degrees of complexity. So you can follow routes of:

• Basic level: you always go with a guide and the routes are along paths and simple routes in the Aran Valley. It is ideal to come as a family since the terrain is flat and not too hard, so all you have to know is to move on the bike.

• Medium level: once you have met the guide, it will be time to go to a little more complex terrain. There will be roads where you will even have to get off your bike and walk because it will cost you if you are not a professional.

• Advanced level: these are vertiginous routes that begin at the top of the ski resorts or on the slopes where the slope is quite steep. As this is an experience for professionals, we wanted to organize full-day activities so you will have to have a lot of stamina to overcome the challenges that we propose.
