Escuela de Esqui Arropaje

The Ski and Snow Clothing School was born in 2008 with the aim of bringing snow sports to all types of audiences, regardless of their age, level, physical condition or even if they have or not some type of disability. They are installed in the San Isidro ski resort, where they teach their ski and snowboard classes and courses. Its team of teachers is made up of qualified teachers with a lot of experience in dealing with people and teaching their specialties. They also have certification from the Association of Winter Sports Schools, Teachers and Coaches (AEPEDI) and the International Ski Teachers Association (ISIA).

In addition to classes and courses, which can be individual or group, they offer many other services:

- Ski adapted for the disabled: people with some type of disability can ski perfectly if they have the appropriate means to do so, as is the case with the Arropaje School.

- Ski and Snowboard Club: this club is designed for children and young people from 4 years of age who want to practice these sports regularly, and may even compete at some point.

-Summer camps and activities: When there is no snow there can also be fun, thanks to the different activities organized by the school (camps, trekking, hiking...).

- Material rental: Rent skis or snowboards from the best brands and save yourself the hassle of having to transport all the material from your home to the station.

The Arropaje Esquí Ski School is located in the San Isidro ski resort, in the province of León, where it teaches ski and snowboard courses, as well as many other services:

- Private lessons: Learn to ski in a much faster and more efficient way with private lessons in which you will have the full attention of a qualified teacher.

- Collective courses: These courses are for groups and take place both on weekends and during holiday periods.

- Specific courses: In this case they are more advanced ski courses specialized in different modalities such as improvement, freeride, freestyle, winter mountain safety, etc.

- Adapted skiing: Everyone can ski, even people who have a physical disability. In this case it is made with specially adapted material that will allow these people to also enjoy the sensation of going down the slopes at full speed.

- Ski Club: From the age of 4, children and young people can join the ski club to be able to practice skiing regularly and even compete.

- Material rental: if you do not have your own material or you simply do not want to carry it around every time you go to the station, you can rent your material with Escuela Arropaje.

The Arropaje Snowboard Ski School has been teaching snowboard classes and courses for all types of fans for years on the slopes of the San Isidro ski resort, in the province of León.

Classes are taught by qualified teachers and can beindividual or group. In the individual classes the schedule is adapted to the student, while in the group classes the groups and schedules are already pre-established, and the student must join one of them.

In addition to the general courses, Arropaje also offers some more specific courses that are normally aimed at snowboarders with a certain level who want to focus on a specific aspect: freeride (off-piste), freestyle, preparation for tests to be an instructor, winter mountain safety , etc.

Likewise, those who do not have their own material do not have to worry about anything. At Arropaje you can rent your board, bindings and boots, advised by the school staff who will tell you which brand and model best suits the student's characteristics.

The province of León Nevada is surely one of the winter landscapes that can be seen in our country. Thanks to the Arropaje Snowshoe Ski School you have the opportunity to do so through snowshoe routes in the company of a qualified guide. It is an activity that does not require great physical effort and is therefore available to everyone. Normally the route lasts about 4 hours, but both the route and the duration can be changed to adapt to any group. Groups must be between 4 and 10 people.

All technical material, that is, rackets and sticks, will be provided by Arropaje. Thus, participants should only wear winter clothing (including shoes) as if they were going to spend a day in the snow.

At the beginning of the route, a brief theoretical session is given in which basic safety rules are explained. Some very simple techniques are also taught to be able to walk and advance on the snow and some brief notions on preparation and maintenance of the material used are also given.
