Granja Escuela Giraluna

The Giraluna School Farm is a space that we have created thinking about the best way to introduce little ones to environmental education. We are in Brunete, just 20 kilometers away from central Madrid. Our 60,000 m2 of spaces extend here with areas for workshops, animals, livestock work, wild species and bedrooms for stay programs.

We address entire families, schools and individual registrations in our:

- Internal and external camps: during the summer and holiday periods we organize programs for children from 3 years old with accommodation on the farm itself or with pick-up every day at 6 pm after the end of the camp. first block of activities.

- Day visits: for families and educational centers. We welcome you and show you all the areas of our facilities. We also arrange workshops and activities that may interest you for a deeper connection with nature.

We teach you artisanal bakery and dairy work, we extract honey from the hive and share the keys to shearing as part of trades that are little known in purely urban environments.

- Events and birthdays: we host your company sessions and prepare birthday parties to which you want to give a different touch by taking advantage of our facilities.

At the Giraluna School Farm we give children between 3 and 14 years old the option of participating in our camps on an external basis. They will follow the same rhythm as the rest of their roommates with the difference that they will return home to sleep, arriving at 9 a.m. and saying goodbye at 6 p.m. each afternoon.

These programs remain open during the fortnights of July and August, to which camps are added during Easter and during the Christmas school holidays. They develop in the facilities of the Giraluna Children's Farm School, if they are between 3 and 6 years old. The older ones, from 7 to 14, will remain on the Granja Escuela el Álamo property, locations close to the capital.

- Food: urban camps have half board for those registered. We prepare nutritionally balanced menus in a homemade way with all the food groups that make up a healthy diet. If your little one has any special needs in this regard, you just have to say so.

- Farm activities: they will get to know the garden, the greenhouse and the animals that live in the pens, learning about their care and the value of respecting the environment.

- Sports and games: we have a swimming pool to teach them swimming, we will do workshops and create original festivals.

- English classes: in the classroom and through some of the activities that are developed. We have native teachers for this.

At Giraluna School Farm we take advantage of our facilities especially focused on children to organize camps when they are on school holidays. They are aimed at children from 3 years old with options for maximum ages of 6 and 14 years since we use the El Álamo Farm School to welcome the elderly.

Participants will spend their days 20 minutes from Madrid capital where we exceed 200 thousand m2 of areas for activities. We have bedrooms in a residential pavilion with toilets, a dining room and workshops for the craft work that we will share with them.

Outside you will find the animal pens, pony and horse riding arena, orchard, greenhouse and swimming pool among other sports facilities.

We follow a daily schedule that helps the children have fun and learn by getting them up at 9 a.m. and ending the day after the games at 10 p.m. During this time we will have English classes, horse riding, environmental education and moments of leisure to share with your new friends.

The food is homemade, taking into account the varied diet they need and taking into account any allergies that the student may have. In these cases it is important that the parents communicate it in advance.

We usually open shifts in July and August to which we usually add places at Easter and Christmas.
