Granja Escuela Giraluna

The Giraluna School Farm is a space that we have created thinking about the best way to introduce children to environmental education. We are in Brunete just 20 kilometers away from the center of Madrid. Here are our 60 thousand m2 of spaces with enclosures for workshops, animals, livestock work, wild species and bedrooms for programs with stays.

We address entire families, schools and private enrollments in our:

- Internal and external camps : during the summer and holidays we organize programs for children from 3 years old with accommodation on the farm itself or with collection every day at 6 p.m. after the end of the first block of activities.

- Day visits : for families and educational centers. We welcome you and show you all the areas of our facilities. We also arrange workshops and activities that may interest you for a deeper connection with nature.

We teach you craft bakery and dairy work, extract honey from the hive and share the keys to shearing as part of little-known trades in purely urban environments.

- Events and birthdays : we host your company sessions and prepare the birthday parties to which you want to give a different touch, taking advantage of our facilities.

In the Farm School Giraluna we give the option to children between 3 and 14 years old to participate in our camps on an external basis. They will follow the same rhythm as the rest of their roommates with the difference that they will return to sleep at home arriving at 9 a.m. and saying goodbye at 6 p.m. every afternoon.

These programs remain open during the fortnight of July and August to which camps are added during Holy Week and during the Christmas school holidays. They are developed in the Estaciones of the Giraluna Children's School Farm, if they are between 3 and 6 years old. The elderly, from 7 to 14, will remain on the farm of the Farm School the Alamo locations near the capital.

- The food : urban camps entail half-board regime for those registered. We prepare nutritionally balanced menus in a homemade way with all the food groups that make up a healthy diet. If your little one has any special need in this regard you just have to say it.

- Farm activities : learn about the garden, the greenhouse and the animals that live in the pens, learning about their care and the value of respect for the environment.

- Sports and games : we have a swimming pool to teach them swimming, we will do workshops and create original festivals.

- English classes : in the classroom and through some of the activities carried out. We have native teachers for this.

In the Farm School Giraluna we take advantage of our facilities especially focused on children for the organization of camps when they are on school vacations. They are aimed at kids from 3 years with options for maximum ages of 6 and 14 years since we use the El Álamo School Farm to accommodate the elderly.

Participants will spend 20 minutes in Madrid, where we exceed 200 thousand m2 of areas for activities. We have bedrooms in a residential pavilion with toilets, dining room and workshops for handicrafts that we will share with them.

Outside you will find the animals' pens, ponies and horses riding, orchard, greenhouse and swimming pool among other sports facilities.

We follow a daily schedule that helps children have fun and learn by getting up at 9 a.m. and ending the day after the games at 10 p.m. During this time we will have English classes , horse riding, environmental education and leisure time to share with your new friends.

The food is homemade using the varied diet they need and taking into account the allergies that the student may present. In these cases it is important that the parents communicate it previously.

We usually open shifts in July and August to which we usually add places during Easter and Christmas.
