Description of Cave of the Majadillas caving in Sacecorbo
If you were looking for a different adventure, you are in luck, because those are our specialty. Join us to discover a fascinating world with our caving route through the Majadillas cave, in the Guadalajareño municipality of Sacecorbo. We will enjoy an expedition lasting around 3:30 hours and when you know what a mountain is like from its entrails you will be fascinated.
Are you ready for some adventure tourism? Well, let's get started. All you have to do is take the car and come to Sacecorbo, where this emblematic Guadalajareña cave is located, which turns out to be one of the largest in the region. You will not have to bring or buy anything since we will provide you with all the necessary equipment for the caving route, as well as a professional monitor who will guide you throughout the journey.
The Cave of the Majadillas is located within the Alto Tajo Natural Park and is 2,070 meters long. Our caving route through this emblematic corner begins in a really exciting way, with a vertical descent that we will have to do with the help of a rope or ladder to reach the base of the cave .
After the first part, what is coming is a caving route that is almost completely horizontal and without a doubt, it is the ideal place for inexperienced people to debut in this disturbing adventure sport, since it does not present excessive difficulty. When we are down we will realize that we have landed on a small well that we will pass without complexity.
Once ready, we will find ourselves in a room with two exits, one to the west through which we will have to crawl a bit until we reach the Tanque hall, and another to the south, where we will advance through a wide corridor in which there is a junction that can lead us to the southwest or northwest. Going north, we would be undertaking an alternative walk to reach the Tanque hall, while if we turn south we will reach the Galerías Secas passage. We will choose each path according to what catches our attention.
The Galerías Secas, curiously, represent the opposite of what their name indicates since we will find a small spring of water, so to cross it we will get a little wet. The Tank Room on the other hand, gets its name because of how incredibly large it is. Here a very clayey area of the cave awaits us and we will delight ourselves with some very peculiar rock formations.
Continuing to the southeast through the Tanque hall we will come across a small opening through which we will have to advance on our knees or lying down for about 100 meters and this path will lead us to the narrowest part of the cave of the Majadillas, the Paso del Chumino. After this, the paths begin to widen and we will reach the Sala de la Playa, where a great stream of water awaits us that will only increase while, in turn, the gallery begins to narrow a little until we reach the end of our caving route, the El Sifón pass.
Are you ready to discover what caving is? Well go ahead and do it with this route through the cave of the Majadillas, you cannot imagine how exciting this sport is with which you will discover another way to have fun and break the monotony. Coming from the guadalajareña city aloneIt will take you 1 hour to arrive and from Madrid less than 2 hours.
