Description of Scuba diving by the Saltacaballo freighter

The Second World War is the largest war event in all of history to date. This conflict also reached the Spanish coasts and now you can come to discover the remains that still remain at the bottom of the Cantabrian Coast in an exciting diving dive with boat departure that awaits you in the Castro Urdiales area. A new vision of history dived into the depths of this Cantabrian town. You will discover first-hand the remains of the Saltacaballo loading dock, which await a wide range of all the marine fauna and flora of the area. For about 3 and a half hours you will be amazed by what this place awaits us.

An adventure of this caliber deserves good diving equipment and we will provide it ourselves when we meet at the agreed point, and then leave for the adventure.

To reach our destination we have a semi-rigid boat with which we will set sail from the Castro Urdiales dock. In it we will go with the qualified diving instructor who will guide us through the remains of the German cargo ship and will help us with everything necessary.

This scuba dive can be carried out by divers of all levels, diving to a depth (always depending on the tide) of between 10 and 15 meters.

It's time to put on the diving equipment, get on board the boat and prepare for a trip back in time to World War II. When we are in the deepest part of the Castro Urdiales coast, we will be able to see marine species in their habitat since due to the difficult access, fishermen cannot reach them, which means that marine life develops with absolute normality.

After the sinking of the cargo ship by the British, the German troops were able to recover part of it but we will still find remains such as hull plates, some anchors... which, added to the rich marine life that the Cantabrian Sea awaits on our coasts, is quite a spectacle.

This diving along the coast of Castro Urdiales will be an unforgettable memory that will remain in your memory. Come on this adventure and have a great time from the first minute.
