Hiking and bivouac in the Gredos massif

We offer you the opportunity to enjoy three days and two nights surrounded by the incredible natural environment in Gredos, where you will also be able to sleep outdoors, that is to say, a bivouac. Moreover, we will organize an incredible route through the lakes, and its numerous peaks. Could you think of a better activity?

The starting point for this adventure will be established in Navalperal de Tormes, at 7:00 p.m., when the sunset starts and the weather is not so hot. We will start this trekking route going to Garganta del Pinar, in order to arrive at Cinco Lagunas (Five Lakes). With this activity, we want you to be closer to our target, so we will be walking until the sun is completely down. Then, we will prepare our sleeping bags in the chosen place to have a rest and we will watch the stars until you fall asleep.

The main adventure will start the next day when we finish our rise to the lakes. From the larger lake, Cimera one, we will rise to the shortest one, Gutre one, to arrive at Falsa Brecha and La Galana. This is the second highest peak in Central Mountains in Spain (2572 m).

From here, we will raise the incredible and well-known Almanzor peak, with 2592 meters of height, where you will have the opportunity to admire the unique landscapes in this region and the closest ones in Extremadura. After this, we will drop through Laguna Grande to enjoy another bivouac, far away from the refuge.

On the third day, we will come back to Navalperal, passing through all Garganta de Gredos, which is the natural drain of Laguna Grande. Moreover, we will have the opportunity to admire the remains of the ancient glacier.

We will complete a total of 30 km in a ground with approximately 1400 meters of slope, so this will be a difficult route. There will be some paths which will be very difficult to complete, such as the last part of Galana and Almanzor peaks. We give you the possibility to refuse to rise this part of the way if you feel not confident about it, although there won't be difficult for anybody who counts on any experience in mountain activities.

Don't forget to bring your own sleeping bag, warm clothes, a raincoat, food and snacks for the three days, and three liters of water because you can get more water in many natural sources on the way.
