The Serrilla Hostel is an Active and Rural Tourism center located in the town of Serrilla in the province of León. From the city of León it can be reached in just half an hour by car, it is already 35 kilometers north of the city.

The Serrilla Hostel is designed as a space where you can stay in a rural environment with all the comforts and services. The facilities are in an old rural house completely restored, but from which the original materials (stone and wood) have been preserved.

For those who are looking for a more active stay, the hostel also offers a whole series of activities. Some of them are subject to good weather and are therefore carried out in certain stations (skiing on the San Isidro ski slopes, for example). Others, however, can be done all year round: hiking, paintball, climbing, caving ...

In any case, there is always the presence of qualified monitors and graduates in all activities, to guarantee their safety and proper development. In the same way, whenever necessary, Albergue Serrilla provides each client with all the necessary material to carry out the activity.

Practice sports and release adrenaline in exciting paintball games with Albergue Serrilla Paintball. This paintball field is located in the Leonese town of Serrilla, which is 40 minutes by car from the city of León.

The playing field is completely natural, but it also has some artificial obstacles in the form of parapets and wooden shelters. In this way you will have to know how to move without being detected among the vegetation to be able to approach your enemies and prepare an ambush.

The only thing you have to bring is your desire to enjoy and have fun playing paintball. The idea they have at Albergue Serrilla is to adapt the activity as much as possible to the needs of the clients, so that everyone can do it. For this reason they offer routes of different durations and levels of difficulty. The possibilities of doing one or the other also depend on the weather.

If you are also interested in the route being something more than hiking, you can do thematic routes for example mountain, cultural, guided visits to León, mycological (study of mushrooms), gastronomic (with visits to cheese factories and sausage factories) ...

Finally, longer routes can also be organized through Cuevas de Valporquero (7 days) or through Picos de Europa or the Romada Route of Astorga (15 days).

If you want to practice climbing in one of the most beautiful regions of Spain, Albergue Serrilla Escalada gives you the opportunity to do so. The company is located in Serrilla, just 40 minutes by car from the city of León.

So that everyone can do the activity, they offer several levels:

- Initiation: this level is designed for those who have never done this sport before and want to try it for the first time. You will have a brief theory class and then you will practice in very easy ways. At all times you will be accompanied by a monitor who will ensure your safety and will guide you on your ascent.

- Improvement: This level is suitable for those who have already climbed several times. In this case, you will choose the route that best suits your level, so that the activity is a challenge but not impossible. As in the previous level, you will have the support of the monitor at all times.

Likewise, Albergue Serrilla provides all the necessary material and manages the insurance required to be able to practice climbing.

Albergue Serrilla Espeleología is a company located in the León town of Serrilla, 35 kilometers north of the city of León. Its specialty is caving tours through the underground caves in the area. Some of the routes it offers are through Tibigracias (level I spelunking, for beginners), Arenal and Lendreras. These last two routes are level II, therefore designed especially for people who already have some experience in the practice of this sport and also have a certain physical level.

Another of its star activities is caving, consisting of touring the bed of the underground river of the Valporquero Cave, in the province of León. In this case, both canyoning techniques (rappelling, descents, slides ...) are combined with caving techniques. In the same way, the sensations of a canyoning activity are mixed with the mystery of touring an underground cave illuminated by the frontal lights of the helmets.

Of course, each and every one of the tours is always and at all times accompanied by a qualified monitor.

The Albergue Serrilla is not just a place where families, couples, individuals or groups of friends can come to disconnect from daily problems and breathe the calm and pure air of the countryside. It is also a center where we offer active tourism activities so that in addition to disconnecting, you learn another form of entertainment beneficial for physical and mental health.

Due to this wide range of activities, we have decided to organize summer camps so that children can also enjoy nature.

Some of the adventures they will live are:

- Hiking: with which they will obtain a lot of interesting information about the nature that surrounds them.

- Canoeing: the monitors in charge of the camping group will teach you to ride a canoe to be able to go on an excursion to the river.

- Climbing: We will make a first contact with this sport on a natural wall.

- Speleology: adventure underground. We will investigate the subterranean worlds under our feet.

The stay in the camp can be from a minimum of ten days, to a maximum of 15 days.
