As Maceiras takes you sailing along the Miño River and its tributary the Sil River, two channels that offer different possibilities, both for canoeing fans and those looking to enjoy a day on calm waters. You can choose between two options:

Guided route, for those looking to hire a complete canoeing package. Includes boat rental and a guide. Depending on the demands of the group, descents will be made through rapids or calmer waters.

Canoe rental, if you prefer to enjoy the possibilities that these rivers offer on your own, you can rent by the hour.

We also have weekend packs with accommodation, restaurant and spa, as well as multi-adventure activities such as canoeing, tree park or quads.

One of the most effective means of transportation within the Orense region is the Quad, with these fun vehicles you can reach areas that would otherwise be much slower and more expensive.

We carry out guided routes along dirt roads, crossing meadows or crossing river beds. We want to show you the “wilder” side of Galician nature, so you will have to come ready to live an authentic adventure.

The routes range from one hour to half a day.

In addition to providing you with a gas quad and a helmet, we will give you a jumpsuit so you can get covered in mud without worrying about your own clothes.

These are guided routes through green meadows and valleys of the province of Orense, always starting from the Manzaneda Mountain Station.

This activity does not require prior riding knowledge, we carry out routes for all ages. Our horses are very noble and gentle animals.

As Maceiras organizes mountain bike routes through the wonderful landscapes of Ourense, excursions of several hours guided by expert instructors who know the terrain. You will be able to choose between different routes, depending on the group, mountain stages or flatter stages will be carried out.

Rappelling is one of the activities that we like to do the most in As Maceiras, we move on foot to a rock massif, where when we reach a large wall we will install all the mountain equipment.

One monitor will be on the top and another on the skirt, one by one the participants will descend until they complete the entire route. There will be the option of repeating, but ascending on foot again to the top.

Rappelling is a simple but very effective descent technique, it is commonly used in rescue or military operations.

Before starting the activity, the mountain guide will explain the mechanics and the method to use.

The As Maceiras hiking routes are designed for walkers to enjoy the nature of Orense in its purest form. We take you through the most outstanding places in this province so full of surprises.
This inland region hides a multitude of green corners, especially on the banks of the main rivers:

Los canñones del sil, an itinerary that covers 12 kilometers of the Ribeira Sacra in approximately half a day.

Pasarelas del Mao, a short 3 kilometer section of circular type and very well signposted. It shouldn't take more than 1 hour.

Castrolo de Miño, a tour that takes you to know one of the most beautiful municipalities in the province.
The routes can be done guided or individually. If you are staying in the rural complex of As Maceiras we will give you a map with the different routes.

The As Maceiras tree park is one of the most fun multi-adventure options in the entire province of Orense. These are platforms installed 8 - 13 meters from the ground with the aim of moving through a pine forest without touching the ground.

The circuit has Tibetan bridges, rope nets, monkey walk, hen walk and incredible zip lines over 100 meters long.

The park is a family gymkhana where children and adults can enjoy outdoor adventure activities.

The entire circuit is supervised by monitors from the center. In each platform there will be one of them who will be in charge of monitoring compliance with security regulations.
