Guided Ascensions is your guide to doing the best adventure sports in the best mountain places in the Pyrenees and other natural enclaves in Catalonia.
From the first experiences to the most daring and challenging plans, our plans accommodate all types of demands.

The proposals we have for all of you include: Climbing courses and outings (classic, sports, on ice, on ridges and ascents to peaks), hiking routes, orientation days and via ferratas.

For the winter we have two activities through the peaks and valleys of the Pyrenees such assnowshoeing and mountain skiing.
Many of these proposals can be carried out outside of Spain in places as incredible as the French or Italian Alps.

In the Pyrenees and the Alps we do the most spectacular mountain skiing you can experience. We climb to mythical peaks with our skis on our backs and we throw ourselves down the mountain with some breathtaking and fascinating descents.

These are all our routes through the best high mountain landscapes:

• High Route through the Pyrenees: This plan includes 4 spectacular days of ascents to the peaks of Aneto, Posets and Perdiguero.
• Chamonix-Zermatt High Route 6 days
• High Route Oberland in Switzerland with peaks like the Jungfrau with a week of routes
• Silvretta High Route through Austrian Tyrol with one week
• Ascension of Montblanc and other peaks with descent on skis for a week

You will enjoy each accommodation and meal proposal in different perfectly equipped mountain refuges.

There are routes of all levels, although in any of them you need good physical shape to undertake the long ascents and steep descents.

From Guided Ascensions we make hiking excursions through various protected natural environments such as the Montseny Natural Park, the Aigüestortes National Park and other enclaves with the possibility of ascending to the peaks.

Hiking excursions that, in addition to allowing you to discover wonderful high mountain environments, will give you the opportunity to learn valuable aspects related to nature and meteorology.

The gradient and duration of the routes will be in accordance with your hiking preferences. We will make homogeneous groups that have the same conditions and desires regarding the routes.

Leave the city and get lost with us on the mountain roads when the snow disappears and gives way to spring and throughout the summer.

We practice climbing with all the types you can think of and in the best high mountain places in the Catalan Pyrenees and outside our borders in the Alps. Classic climbing, sports climbing, ice climbing, climbing large peaks... And we teach you everything you need to know about it with our courses.

As for sport climbing, the most widespread among lovers of this modality, we do initiation courses in Montserrat and Vilassar de Dalt. There will be 4 days of course with theoretical load in Barcelona and first practices in a climbing wall to move on to rock climbing in the Catalan mid-mountain.

The classic climbing course takes place in Montserrat in Garraf, near the city of Barcelona with theory and practice in a 4-day course. You will be able to know everything about this modality in which we ourselves have to open the different paths.

The most unique type of climbing is done on ice. We take you to points in the Pyrenees to undertake climbs by digging your crampons and ice axes into the hard ice. Up to 3 days of course in the Vall de Boí and Ull de Ter.

We also have ascensions to ridges and peaks of the Pyrenees for beginners and advanced levels. Through the upper Urgell, Garrotxa and the Benasque valley area.

Via ferratas are the routes that man has installed between ravines and rock walls, thus being able to move more easily than if one had to climb all the time. In Catalonia we find a good number of them in the Pyrenees and other areas.

Well secured with a harness and ropes, you will progress through the very steep slopes and walls, climbing ladders, leaning on handrails, crossing bridges and dropping off in certain parts.

You can try these unique mountain tours through Oliana, Montserrat, Centelles and Montblanc in Tarragona.

Depending on your experience, we will make one ferrata or another, always in any case the necessary material will be in your hands. The guides will teach you how to use it if you haven't had a chance to familiarize yourself with it yet.

For the Montseny Natural Park we do orientation days between forests and mountains where you must use the knowledge that we will give you previously so as not to get lost and know how to successfully reach the point of encounter.

We provide you with everything you need so that you can serve yourself in the field on your hiking days. As contents we have the learning of the use of the maps, the compass and the GPS.

We will also see the techniques to know how to interpret maps, route design and other very useful tricks in the natural environment.

During a day of several hours we will have the theoretical classes and the practical part with the competition in which the first one will arrive at the meeting point following the marked route.

Guided Ascents invites you to come with your team to enjoy a special incentive day doing an exciting adventure sport in the mountains at various points of the Catalan geography.

In these days we propose the via ferrata activity, very fun to do with a group of friends and that is becoming more and more fashionable. The via ferrata is about climbing a route fully equipped with special material for the practice of this sport. No prior climbing knowledge is required to enjoy this fun activity. We propose all kinds of via ferratas of different duration and of varying difficulty depending on the wishes and physical conditions of the group.

You can also get started in the world of climbing , an exciting vertical world led by professionals who will advise and guide you. No knowledge of climbing is required to perform this activity but an acceptable physical condition is required.

We offer orientation days very interesting for the members of the group to put themselves to the test with their notions of interpreting maps, GPS and other natural elements. We do them in the Montseny Natural Park, less than 1 hour from Barcelona.

For winter you can also participate in snowshoe excursions and off-piste skiing descents after having climbed to beautiful Pyrenean peaks.

Guided Ascents offers you interesting snowshoe routes . This comfortable and fast way of moving on snowy terrain is a mix of hiking, mountaineering and mountaineering.

We have several exits such as the crossings through Vallter and Coma de Vaca through the Coll de la Marrana, the ascent to the peak of Taga, through Nuria and Ulldeter, climbed to Puigmal, Pic de la Dona and others. Always at heights above 2,000 meters of altitude. The choice of the specific location will always take into account the characteristics of the group of people that will make up the expedition on each occasion.

With minimum groups of 4 people we go out to the mountains to tread virgin snow without having to have prior technique and experience as occurs with alpine skiing.

You will have a guide who will be the best possible company in the high mountains and who will give you the material to carry out the routes with snowshoes.
