Castillo del Condestable is a company located in San Martín de Valdeiglesias (Madrid) in charge of carrying out different activities in the natural region of Gredos and the Valleys of Tiétar, in addition of the area that surrounds the Alberche river , and in places declared Patrimony of the Humanity. Activities we carry out:

• Balloon ride : An adventure through the skies with crossings at more than 1,000 meters of altitude through Segovia and its surroundings.
• Horseback riding : Walks on these horses through the Tiétar valley.
• Sailing : Sailing initiation courses in the San Juan reservoir.
• Paragliding : 20-30 minute paragliding flights over Lanzahita and the Tiétar valley.
• Paramotor: Similar to the paraglider but equipped with motor and wheels.
• Hiking : Walking routes through the valleys of Tiétar, Alberche and the Sierra de Gredos, with special routes through Candeleda with the blossoming of cherry trees and observation of the sunset at the equinox.
• Wine tourism : Visits to wineries and tastings.
• Ornithology : Routes to observe the variety of birds in these areas near Gredos.
• Cultural Routes: Visits to the villages of the Tiétar Valley.

In the Pantano de San Juan , west of Madrid, we have a initiation sailing course with which you can learn and enjoy this boat without having to go to the sea.

The initiation course consists of 3 hours with a small talk before starting by the skipper. It will provide us with historical and curious data about the environment in which we will develop the activity.

Once on the sailboat we will learn the handling of the boat from the hand of the skipper . When we have mastered the control of the sailboat we can focus on enjoying the landscape with ruins and archaeological remains and vultures and eagles flying over the swamp.

The sailboat ride is for a minimum of 4 people per boat.

This sailing day can be combined with a visit to the old town of San Martín de Valdeiglesias with its churches, large houses and other architecture.

We have prepared for you a day of wine tourism in the Tiétar valley , at the feet of the Sierra de Gredos . The entire valley is full of areas dedicated to wine with large vineyards and wineries through which we will visit and where we will also have the possibility of attending interesting tastings.

It will be a fantastic tour that will combine culture with gastronomy through the wineries that make the typical wine of this region. But it will not be just any wine, but it will also be a oenological wine.

We will start by taking a walk through different vineyards and later we will get to know the winery's facilities, where we will learn more about the process of making and treating the wines.

The visit closes with a wine tasting and tasting of some typical products of the area.

In addition, we will also have the possibility of visiting some towns passing through the valley of the Tiétar river.

Castillo del Condestable offers you fantastic horseback riding routes through the landscapes of the Tiétar valley gaining height to the feet of the great peaks that make up the Sierra de Gredos . We present one-day and weekend routes to enjoy jogging on horseback through forests, streams and hillsides. The tour will be a total of 2 hours of crossing, regardless of the day you choose.

We have different routes where you can choose the path and duration n, such as half-day crossings with about 4 hours and full-day routes with almost 7 hours.

We make special routes such as the Vetón Equinox with the observation of the March and September equinoxes next to the vetonas sculptures of the Guisando Bulls. And we can also contemplate the flowering of the cherry trees of the Tiétar valley in the town of Candeleda.

In these environments we can find up to a total of 150 different species of birds . In addition, to make this route as complete as possible, you will have the company of expert ornithologists, who will shed as much light as possible on each specimen we spot. Your head will fill with new knowledge and experiences.

We will walk for several hours stealthily and using binoculars on many occasions to better see each bird.

A few kilometers west of Madrid, we find the municipality of San Martín de Valdeiglesias. This is where all the activities at Castillo del Condestable start, located in the natural, rural and historical environment of the Gredos and El Valle del Tiétar Natural Region . A region with landscapes and enclaves declared a World Heritage Site, ideal to discover in the company of friends or family.

Away from the city and the daily noise, we mix with the rural environment and enjoy the tranquility and nature with cultural visits through the towns of the Tiétar Valley and the Sierra de Gredos. Here we have among other routes that of Vetonia, Santa Teresa de Jesús or Don Álvaro de Luna.

We also make visits to the Castillo de la Adrada , a Gothic and Renaissance palace, surrounded by a walled fortress and moat, and which raises its view to the Montes de Toledo. After its restoration, it houses a museum that we can visit to learn about its history and tenants. It also contains a church, parade ground and the remodeled warden's house.
