Active Tourism Gecko is an entity whose main objective is to merge people with nature.

We are in Cáceres , a province with a really rich natural environment that allows us to offer activities in the Jerte Valley, in the Sierra de Béjar and in the capital. These locations will help future generations to reconnect with the environment and learn to care for and respect it while making new friends and having a good time. Sounds good, huh?

Some of the activities we offer are:

• Canyoning: we cross the course of a river for each of its sections. It does not matter if the terrain is dry or wet. We cross pools, waterfalls, sections with little flow ... The important thing is to adapt to the terrain and get to our goal. You will have to swim, kidnap, climb, walk ... A most complete activity. We offer you the best ravines in Valle del Jerte and La Vera.

• Kayaking: with our canoes and self-emptying kayaks you can enjoy a very fun experience in which speed and adrenaline are the main ingredients.

• Rafting: v to know the most exciting rafting and close to Madrid in the heart of Gredos. Rapids and wave trains will be the ingredients of this very attractive recipe to enjoy with friends and family.

• Multiadventure: rappelling, zip lines, climbing. All these activities to enjoy in Cáceres or in the Jerte Valley. Ideal to spend an afternoon full of excitement and adrenaline.

• Tandem Paramotor Flights: the only company that markets flights in the Jerte Valley with takeoff and landing in Piornal, the highest altitude town in Extremadura. Fly over the dividing rope of Jerte and La Vera with the help of one of the most recognized and experienced pilots in the entire region.

• Camps : in the school holidays we prepare camps of different themes in which we intend that, in addition to having fun, our participants obtain values and principles.

• Training courses: we carry out First Aid and DESA courses, Free Time Monitor, Food Handler, ... If you are interested in doing one, do not hesitate to tell us.

In Gecko Active Tourism we have a great experience when preparing camps for children and adolescents who want to spend fun vacations, making new friendships and rediscovering their surroundings.

We have 2 types of camps:

• Urban camps : we carry out a wide variety of activities in which children develop their creativity, their talent and put each of their abilities to the test. Every day we carry out workshops on crafts, games and various sports. Our main objective is that all children enjoy quality leisure time.

• Camps with accommodation : During school holidays, we organize camps of one or two weeks in which children can spend a few days away from their families enjoying endless possibilities of leisure with new friends: zip lines, kayaks, inflatables, hiking, climbing, etc. In this way, in addition to enjoying a well-deserved vacation, they gain independence and autonomy.

We also have a nursery and playroom service, designed for children from 4 to 12 years old, in which we attend to all facets of their learning with a playful and fun approach. They will have a great time!

At Grupo Creactiva we are delighted to be able to offer our users initial training in one of the most complete sports that exist: climbing .

To initiate children and adolescents into this world, we have adventure towers, 2 approved 8-meter-high structures that can be moved anywhere. Thus, we manage to build a large activity park anywhere that meets the appropriate conditions. This allows us to carry out some experiences such as:

• Climbing wall : we can practice climbing at a height of 7 meters. A monitor will be monitoring the activity at all times and will guide us to do it in a correct and safe way.

• Network climbing: we will have to ascend through a rope network. The target is 7 meters high, will you get there?

• Zip line: we will slide from one of the highest points in the park with the help of a rope and a harness. One of the participants' favorite adventures.

• Rappel : consists of descending from the terrace of the structure with the help of a rope. Our monitor will be aware of everything.

• Mono bridge and Tibetan bridge: go from one structure to another crossing these bridges located 7 meters high. Balance is essential.

If you like the experience and want to go one step further, you can sign up for one of our climbing abroad excursions. Little by little you will become a professional.

In addition to the obvious popularity of Valle del Jerte for its cherry trees, at Grupo Creactiva we want to show you another aspect of this wonderful natural area, the possibility of practicing canyoning in an incomparable natural environment.

In this location the descent of Los Papúos stands out, a good ravine to start with because it does not require previous experience. However, to ensure that all members of the group can advance smoothly, it is important that you can swim with some ease.

• What is this ravine like? : In general, we could place it at a medium level of difficulty, due to its five sections that we will have to overcome by rappelling. The highest of them reaches 30 meters while the lowest is limited to 11. It has the same number of slides to which you have to add a couple of jumps of 6 and 8 meters to the water respectively.
• What requirements must we meet to start the adventure? : You must have reached the age of 12 , provided that adults go with the groups of minors. Keep in mind that we will spend at least 5 hours traveling this itinerary so, although the experience is not relevant, you all have to have a minimum physical stamina so that you are comfortable until the end.

Towards the middle of the experience we will take a rest time, eat something and bathe relaxed to face the last part of the expedition.

With Gecko Active Tourism you have the option of being part of a completely open bachelor party in which your proposals will be heard and attended by professionals from each discipline.

We work in various areas, among which active tourism and environmental education stand out. When it comes to organizing your farewell, they will help you to integrate into a group coexistence that will bring out the best in your friendship. Some of the options that we propose are:

- Do a canyoning : we will get to know the best of the Jerte valley, which is not only in its cherry blossoms, taking us to the Barranco de los Papúos. As it can be traveled from the age of 12, it is also ideal if you plan a celebration that also integrates the family.

- Share rafting rafts : we continue in the water for one of the sports that most compensate in a group because we will travel in the same inflatable boat to challenge the rapids that are formed with the current.

- Educational experiences : in nature, with the Tagus as the central theme, or in the urban area, seeking to delve into the history of the city of Cáceres. We will use our own teaching materials.

From Gecko Active Tourism we accompany you on the best rafting descent in the Sierra de Gredos Regional Park. Getting there will not take you more than 60 minutes from Salamanca, this time being around 2 hours if you are coming from Madrid.

We will go to the head of the Tormes river , which belongs to the province of Ávila, to go up in large inflatable boats that will allow us to lower its channel between waters that flow at different speeds. The best time to do it is on dates that are between November and June to coincide with the thaw season. This way we will coincide with the highest flow of the whole year.

Each of the rafts has one of our guides on board who will control the expedition and tell us what to do during the descent. One of our favorite sections for rafting is the one that runs between El Barco de Ávila and El Barquillo due to its level of difficulty between medium and low. However, it will allow us to feel the full intensity of its rapids for 3 and a half hours.

We will go down with minimum groups of 6 people up to a maximum of 24 in two descents a day. The one corresponding to the morning shift departs at 11 am while the afternoon shift takes place at 4.30pm .

Before coming we inform you that you have to prepare a backpack with sunscreen, an insulating shirt, footwear attached to the foot, a swimsuit, a towel and dry clothes so that you can change when you return home.

At Gecko Active Tourism we take advantage of the flow that we find in the Tormes riverbed to do kayak trips. We carry out this activity safely in self-emptying boats that do not have the possibility of sinking although it is preferable that those who are going to get on them know how to swim.

Before leaving for the shore, the monitor indicates the technical details that we will take into account in any of these sections:

- The shortest route : which will take us from La Maya to the Sieteiglesias area in a 9 km route that will take us around 120 minutes. It is not difficult even without experience.

- Medium route itinerary : with the same starting point, it will leave us in Encinas de Arriba after 15 kilometers of navigation. We will spend more than 3 hours on it and the only complexity will be to have a sufficient physical shape so as not to succumb to fatigue.

- Long excursion : with 22 kilometers that will take us to Alba de Tormes in more than half a day since it has a total route that requires at least 5 hours to complete.

In addition to these expeditions that take place in Tormes, we accompany you to descend the Alagón River on dates between April and August. For this we will move between the bridges of La Macarrona and that of Hierro de Coria.

The Jerte Valley is even more beautiful from the height provided by a paramotor flight with Gecko Active Tourism. We fly with you over the Vera region in an experience without difficulty and the only requirement we ask of you is that you are an adult or over 12 years old if you are accompanied by a guardian.

The pilot with whom you will travel in a tandem paratrike, with two seats, has two decades of experience in this sport for which he is known throughout Extremadura. Now you can fly with it from Piornal which is located at an altitude of 1200 meters.

We will leave in the months between February and October because that is when the weather is most suitable for flying in the Jerte Valley. The total duration of the activity is around 2 hours within which these options are located:

- 30-minute flights on paramotor: this will give us time to follow a circuit above the balconies of this Extremaduran valley. We will see the La Vera area and we will reach the Mojón Blanco viewpoint.

- 20-minute paratrike adventure: somewhat shorter than the previous one but it will allow you to get your first impressions of the entire region.

You have to book the date you want in advance because the flights are organized when we gather groups of 3 passengers or more.

Friends, maturaleza and eliminate accumulated tension. Sounds good right? It's what we want at Gecko Active Tourism with our paintball games, whatever you want to celebrate, it's a super fun and original way to do it.

• Our environmental setting is a paradise unto itself. In the heart of the Valle del Jerte is where the game will take place. A place full of natural parapets and others strategically placed by us that will serve to protect you from shots, as well as having good support to target enemies.

• The game will be constantly changing to give dynamism to the game and to adopt different roles .

• It is perfect for a special birthday , a bachelor party , a teambuilding for the company ... The point is to have an incredible time with people the one you appreciate (even though they are your biggest enemies in those moments).

• If you run out of ammunition, you can reload from 100 to 100 for a small fee or, if you know it is going to be an uphill battle, we have a special package with 2000 balls.

• Also, you can ask us for another activity to complete the day. From canyoning, rafting or if you prefer a good barbecue to give the best score for the day.
