At Kalyaventura we organize active tourism activities in the disciplines of canoeing, climbing, canyoning, hiking, cycling and environmental activities, we also offer the best à la carte services.

We have a diploma of excellence and tourism quality in the form of active tourism of the Principality of Asturias. We were awarded with the special mention for the best active tourism product FITUR 2007 for the product ´´Canoe expedition on the Navía River´´.

We are also proud to have won the special mention for the best active tourism product at FITUR 2008 for the product ´´Active Nursery´´.

These activities are intended for those people who, without any preparation, wish to discover other experiences in contact with nature and adventure in a real way, and discover their abilities as a participant.

At Kalyaventura we have the best equipment, both personal and material, to start you on your first adventures. And of course, you can bring your camera to immortalize these exciting experiences. We also offer the possibility of taking initiation courses.

At Kalyaventura Canoas we define several modalities depending on the characteristics to be explored, we aim to reach places inaccessible for other types of tourism, using canoes as a means of transportation.

Our classification is as follows:

• Initiation Course: Practical and theoretical activity that provides us with immediate and technical knowledge of how to handle boats in different scenarios, varying in duration. The sessions last 2.30 hours. Minimum 4 participants.

• River Descent: It consists of making a descending journey along the course of a river, lasting around 4-6 hours. Our example is the Navia River, from the Arbón Dam to Navia, 14 km long, minimum 5 participants.

• Traverses: It consists of taking a tour through calm waters in a reservoir, lake, river mouth, or similar, with a short distance and little difficulty. Our example is the Pulley River Route, 6 km long, carried out in the mornings and/or afternoons, with a duration of 2-2'30 hours. minimum 2 participants.

• Whitewater River Descent: It consists of carrying out a descending journey in the course of a river, which provides us with different difficulties and emotions, the difficulty increases in relation to the characteristics of the volume of the water, with a duration of around 3-4 hours. Our example is the Agüeira River, 8 km long, minimum 5 participants. This activity is very seasonal and is conditioned by the volume of water provided by the river, primarily winter, spring and the rainy season.

• Kayak Polo: It is a game that is played with small boats (kayak) and that consists of moving a ball around the members of the same team until they score a goal, or introduce it into the opponent's goal, it is an application of Water Polo to Kayak . The playing field takes place in calm waters, and the terrain is similar to the dimensions of an Olympic swimming pool. Ideally, each team should consist of 5 participants. It is competitive, very fun, entertaining and facilitates confidence in movements in the kayak.

Kalyaventura Kayaks takes you into the exciting world of kayaking, fun boats that are very easy to handle and offer great stability. They are very difficult to tip over and are ideal for people who are new to these practices.

Two modalities are offered:

Kalyaventura Canyoning has prepared for you a complete offer of activities with which you can discover one of the adventure sports that has been causing the most rage in recent years in our country. A natural amusement park that will not leave anyone indifferent.

It consists of descending through the channels of a mountain torrent, which provides us with different natural difficulties that we overcome by jumping into pools of water, sliding down natural water slides, going down walls and waterfalls using climbing techniques, etc. .

Each ravine is different, and provides us with different sensations depending on its difficulty and the volume of water it can provide. The Canyons that we usually do in Kalyaventura Canyoning are the following:

• Oneta

• Also in Western Asturias we can count around several dozen, such as ravines and canyons to descend with some interest.

Hiking or trekking consists of taking excursions on foot following a route marked on the terrain, map or GPS (satellite navigation system).

The incentives for taking a route are very varied, either to get to know the culture, history, gastronomy, etc., of one or more localities, towns or Autonomous Communities; but all of them have a common direction: enjoying the natural environment.

It is an activity suitable for anyone and of any age, in which physical preparation is not the most important factor (although if you have it, much better), it is enough to have some notions of orientation following the layout of the paths and trails, map reading and compass operation.

At Kalyaventura Hiking we carry out different routes depending on duration and/or difficulty. Minimum 6 participants. Among others we highlight the following:

Kalyaventura Climbing offers you a series of activities to get you started in this fun sporting discipline that consists of climbing natural or artificial walls (climbing walls).

Basic safety standards and correct handling of the material must be met, to ensure safety at the time of a fall or to rest in case of fatigue or for long days, and adhesion techniques.

At Kalyaventura Escalada we carry out sport climbing courses in the climbing wall modality. Sports climbing is one in which we advance using grips, supports and, of course, taking advantage of the cracks in the wall. An exciting challenge for your physical and mental strength.

This type of climbing involves greater difficulty due to the unevenness of the rock walls. In addition, we have to adopt more specific security measures in the previous ones. The clearest example of sport climbing is what is done in climbing walls.

To carry out this activity it is essential to gather a minimum of 10 participants. We will play different games with which you will not find time for boredom.

All-terrain bicycles have specific characteristics: they are tall, have horizontal handlebars with about 18/21 gear ratios (2/3 chainrings and 6/7 sprockets), knobby tires and wider than those of road bicycles. , allowing greater grip on the ground and braking to slow down or brake.

To ride a bicycle, the most important thing is to be comfortable, flexing your arms to cushion any possible blows received from the front wheel. The saddle should not be excessively raised to cushion the blows received from the back.

You also have to balance the weight to get the most traction. On descents, to have greater stability, you have to put your head between your arms and not release your feet from the pedals. In the case of climbs with a high degree of inclination, we will have to change gears.
