Mamut Sierra Nevada we are a company specialized in adventure sports and outdoor sports activities in Granada, specifically in the Sierra Nevada area.

We mainly focus on business activities, we organize events, incentives, team buildings, with adventure sports as protagonists, specifically:

• Canyoning: Ideal for group practice from spring to autumn. You will enjoy this aquatic activity that combines trekking, jumping, rappelling, etc...

• Snowshoes: It is the most dynamic and entertaining activity for the winter season, you will be able to do different routes, access difficult to access points thanks to snowshoes.

• Hiking: Walking through the mountains takes on added value if it is done through the Sierra Nevada, you will enjoy a landscape, an environment and privileged views. It is the perfect activity to spend a day in the company of friends and surrounded by nature.

• Climbing: We carry out initiation and improvement courses in sport climbing on natural rock.

• BTT: We organize mountain bike outings from 1 day to 6. Always accompanied by our expert guides, and with our bicycles suitable for mountain tours.

• Orientation: Divided into groups, with map and compass in hand, you will go through the Sierra Nevada mountains, trying to be the first to reach the marked point.

Mamut Sierra Nevada Canyoning proposes you to enjoy an aquatic canyon in a spectacular area of the Granada mountain range.

Equipped with neoprene, helmet and safety vest we will go to the descent point, in the Sierra de Almijara. TheRío Verde Canyon has a medium difficulty, so it is recommended to be in shape or have some previous experience in canyoning.

On the way you will find pools, jumps, you will have to descend vertically helped by ropes, and of course, you will enjoy an exciting descent down the spectacular natural slides that you will find during the itinerary.

Mamut Snowshoes brings you the entertaining and dynamic winter snowshoeing activity. You will be able to walk easily and access hidden places thanks to these utensils that make the path easier.

It is a perfect activity to do in a group, suitable for all audiences, easy and dynamic. The instructor adapts to the group at all times, so you can set the pace yourself.

We carry out the routes in the beautiful surroundings of Sierra Nevada and you can choose between the following 3 modalities:

• Snowshoe hiking, a simple activity, lasting approximately half a day with which to discover the Sierra Nevada Natural and National Park.
• Hiking route insnowshoes at sunset. It is a perfect way to enjoy one of the most beautiful images that Granada gives us, the sunset in the middle of a snowy mountain. It lasts about 3 hours, and is suitable for all audiences.
• Snowshoe ascent. This is an activity in which you will climb to the top of the peaks, always using snowshoes. It is an activity that requires a certain physical condition, since its difficulty is medium-high.

Our hiking routes have the peculiarity of being interpretive, they go beyond the simple route walking through natural environments, but as we pass through different points, we will examine the flora and fauna and knowing the culture and customs of the place.

We organize outings in various parts of Granada, being able to adapt the difficulty and duration. Some of the points that we usually include in our itineraries are: The Alcazaba mountain range, our Sierra Nevada, the Mulhacén peak, La Hoya de la Mora, the Lagunas, etc.

For the most daring, we carry out ascents and outings lasting 8 hours, although we also have low-level routes, lasting about 3 or 4 hours, suitable for all ages.

And for those who want to live a more complete experience, we organize outings of several days, staying in shelters in the heart of Sierra Nevada, with views and a completely privileged environment.

At Mamut Escalada we want to offer you different climbing courses, so that you can choose the one that best suits your needs, your level or your physical conditions.

We carry out the climbing sessions on natural rock, taking advantage of the environment that the Granada mountain range offers us. We have a team of highly qualified monitors, who also love what they do.

The courses that we usually take would be:

• 2-day sport climbing course. The main objective will be to introduce students to sport rock climbing, learn belay techniques and safety rules and, above all, acquire a certain autonomy in this discipline.

• Sport climbing improvement course, 1 day long. Suitable for those who already have experience in the world of climbing, but want to go one step further and complete their knowledge. Aspects such as: knots, assembly, unhooking, safety techniques, basic progression, etc. are covered.

• 1-day sport climbing course. It would be a first approach to the world of climbing. In addition to rock climbing, routes in the area will be known, and basic notions and fundamental advice on safety regulations, ascent technique, knots, etc. will be given...

We have routes of 1 day duration, and a distance between 35 and 80 kilometers depending on the location, the routes stand out for:

• The Baza area, through La Cabra, Los Neveros, Guadix, etc.

On the other hand, we also organize outings of several days duration, among which the following stand out:

• Sierra Nevada - Mediterráneo, it is a mountain bike route from Sierra Nevada to Almuñécar or the tour through the well-known troglodyte villages, a unique experience that you will love.

Mamut Orientación wants to put at your disposal its extensive experience in adventure sports, related to hiking, interpretation and orienteering in the Sierra Nevada area.

In this specific case, we suggest you carry out an orientation session through the Granada mountains, it is a dynamic activity, as well as useful, since you will be able to learn the basic notions and the best tricks to get your bearings. With the help of compasses and maps, and following the indications that nature itself provides us, we will develop the activity.

It is an activity indicated for groups, which are usually divided into several teams and have to reach certain points, marked by the guides. To do this, our qualified instructors will previously tell you how to use the compass, maps and how to interpret the environment. In addition, they will accompany you at all times during the activity to help you with everything you may need.
