You will have to go down the river bed that houses a ravine where you will cross huge waterfalls, slide down natural slides and cross pools as well as swimming through the river. Rappelling is the most used technique to descend the waterfalls.

• We have all the material. You will use a wetsuit, a safety helmet, harnesses and rope.
• The route and duration of this canyoning activity is three hours.
• There are ravine areas suitable for children between the ages of five and twelve.

Potes Aventura is a Cantabrian company that organizes excursions and walks in winter in the Picos de Europa with snowshoes. The snowshoes , designed to walk comfortably through the snow, are an excuse to explore the landscapes of Cantabria in winter or even in spring if the weather continues to allow it.

Can you imagine a pleasant day walking through the mountains with your family or friends, enjoying the views and the snow that has just fallen? Well, it is a luxury plan at your fingertips. You will use the rackets, warm clothes and boots, and sunglasses, as well as cream.

Choose a guided route or rent them. We have two options or levels:

• Level 1 . From three to four hours, a short tour to see beautiful landscapes and that will take you into the imposing mountains of Cantabria, all on snowshoes.
• Level 2 . A somewhat longer distance and little-known hidden places covered in snow and ready to be trodden by snowshoes. This tour is three to four hours.

The Potes Aventura guides are perfectly familiar with the Pico de Europa in Cantabria . The most inaccessible Spanish mountain range is an incredible place to go hiking . That is why they offer you multiple routes of a day or even weeks. You just have to choose the area.

They organize each route according to your needs and to measure. They make routes for friends, to celebrate farewells, for hiking clubs, for families and for companies.

Each season they offer routes of two or more days through the Picos de Europa through areas such as Collado Jermoso, Peña Vieja, Torre Cerredo, Naranjo de Bulnes ... and many other areas.

If you need information about trails and routes to go on your own, they will be happy to guide and advise you, especially if the route is through Liébana.

For any route you will need boots and mountain clothing, including something warm. You should also put cream and some glasses in your backpack.

They distinguish between two types of routes:

• Half day route, three hours. A route through Liébana highly recommended to get closer to this sport and spend a pleasant day.
• Full day route, four to ten days. A very complete and special route through Liébana for groups and families who want to delve deeper into this quiet sport.

Potes Aventura does not want you to leave Cantabria without knowing its mountain ranges. Mountain Trekking is its star activity. A multi-stage activity that is organized by days and in which you sleep in shelters. A sport suitable for families and groups of all kinds. The tours vary depending on the time of year and the physical conditions of the group.

• Basic level : 2 days. You need to have some physical shape. There are small ferrata itineraries that you will have to go through.
• Medium Level : 3 days. This type of route requires being physically fit and having some technical experience. Surely you use your hands to go through difficult areas but you will not use specific material.
• Advanced Level : 4 days. This tour is for physically fit people who have participated in a similar activity before. You will need safety equipment to go through some areas including a helmet, everything will be provided by Potes Aventura.

You will always be accompanied by a monitor or several, depending on the group, which will adapt to everything you need.

Practice climbing in Cantabria!

Potes Aventura organizes Via Ferratas classic in Cantabria , in the Potes area.

For those who do not know this activity, they are vertical sports routes and routes that are made with suitable material and that represent an approach to climbing for hikers or people who are not used to climbing. It is not as difficult as climbing nor does it require advanced knowledge to practice it.

The route is strictly designed with support points, equipment typical of via ferrata and steel cables anchored to the rock, as well as suspension bridges. You can do some of its routes or rent its equipment. They will give you a helmet and harnesses as well as energy sinks.

• Camaleño . An affordable route for families and groups. It lasts for two hours. It is made up of three large rocks to climb and a Tibetan bridge. The goal is to reach the top of this beautiful road. At the foot you will have the town of Los Llanos and privileged views of the Picos de Europa.
• La Hermida . A little more difficult, this route is for the daring of three to four hours. There will be impressive blocks of rocks and two Tibetan bridges. The end of the road are the views of La Hermida and its gorge.
• Infant . There are specific routes for children between eight and twelve years old. The guides will be especially attentive to them and their needs during the tour. Two hours long.
