Tacandife Canarias

At Tacandife Canarias we act as a sports club bringing together the different possibilities of the island of Gran Canaria related to active leisure. Through our degree we are prepared to:

- Speleology : visiting caves and galleries of different lengths and dimensions, discovering chasms and the traces of the volcanic configuration of the island.

- Canyoning : and its version parallel to the sea, coastering. We go to water ravines in which we use our skills and the techniques explained by the guide to follow the freshwater channel encased in the rock. In the case of coastering, features and equipment similar to that of ferratas are also appreciated.

- Hiking : by organizing outdoor routes through natural landscapes with the possibility of including gastronomic tours that show you the keys to Canarian cuisine and the own foods that are used in it.

In addition, as professionals, we have a service for recognizing places with complicated access, after which we proceed to equip them appropriately.

Tacandife Canarias we are a sports club with professionals trained to accompany you and guide you through the different canyons of the island of Gran Canaria. We know all the possibilities in the area thanks to which we can give you correct prior advice that allows you to choose the right exit for your group.

There are two main types of descents on the island:

- Canyoning : commonly understood as the one that takes place alongside the riverbed between the mountains. We will go out to know aquatic ravines full of natural pools and we will use techniques such as abseiling to overcome their unevenness.

- Coastering : it is a method that is even better known in other European countries that is highly recommended in the Canary Islands due to the environment it provides us with. We will continue walking and rappelling between the rocks but we will do it by the sea. The Atlantic will give us magnificent views as it breaks against the coast and we will find pools flooded with salt water in which we can bathe and take a fundamental rest to continue our adventure.

The technicians of the Sports Association Tacandife Canarias go with you on your initiation to caving. The island is full of interesting cavities, from the most accessible to extensive galleries of a thousand meters in length that we will have the opportunity to inspect.

In the Canarian landscapes, the volcanic lands that are exposed to us under the direction of a professional of this activity stand out. In addition, the ideal place for the group's profile will be chosen, taking into account if there are children and what their ages are. So no one will have to give up the adventure.

At the time of starting the activity:

- It will be explained to you where we are going to go and what are the general characteristics of what we are going to see in order that you are prepared for the type of route knowing what type of effort you will have to do.

- You will be lent a helmet for protection with a frontal destined to illuminate your steps inside the cave. The collective material is carried by the guide and is made up of ropes and safety elements that will help us, for example, if we are forced to rappel to continue advancing through the cavity.
