Barrika Surf Camp

At Barrika Surf Camp you will stay in a paradise on the Basque coast while you learn to surf. The quality of our school and accommodation is recognized by the Regional Government so you can be clear that if you come you are opting for a great environment with all the guarantees to jump into the water with your board.

Start making your way as a surfer with:

- Surf classes with material: book your course, from the level you need, starting from 2 hours per day. Our rates adapt to the time you want to dedicate, making packages that last up to 7 days, spending 14 hours learning to surf. We have group and private classes with up to 6 and 3 students per instructor.

- Surfcamps for all ages: in the case of adults it is an option that you have all year round. If you are going to sign up for the initiation camp, we recommend that you do it in summer, while if you already have a level, the less warm months are also suitable for you.

Young people, from 10 years old to 17, have their space in our Easter and Summer surfcamps. Like the adults, they will have 4 hours of surf lessons each day that they will spend on a full board basis. We also prepare additional and leisure activities for them both at our school and in the area.

At Barrika Surf Camp we provide a teaching adapted to all the students we receive adapting even to their language. That's why we teach our surf lessons in both Basque and Spanish and English .

After a decade of experience with the best instructors with an EHSF degree, we have managed to prepare more than 3 thousand people to safely carry out in the water. We have made each of them a surfer with complete programs with all the material included: the wetsuit so that they are more comfortable in the water, the table according to the level and physical characteristics of the participant and the insurance for have all circumstances under control.

This is how we organize the surf lessons on Barrika Beach :

- By number of attendees : offering you the attention in small groups, between 5 and 6 students, or with private lessons from a single person up to a maximum of 3.

- For contracted hours : dedicating 2 hours a day to classes, with courses of 14 hours in a full week or for you to try during a single day.

In addition to dedicating ourselves to surfing during the summer months we can give you a specific training during the winter so that the summer season catches you better prepared than ever.

At Barrika Surf Camp we want you to advance on the board through our surfcamps with stays that guarantee several days dedicated to this sport.

We have options for adults , in addition to those for children and young people , which we welcome at any level, even if this is going to be their first surfing experience. Our programs are:

- The surfcamps for adults : one week in full board with surf lessons both in the morning and in the afternoon. The material for the activities is provided by our team. In addition, the rest of the time that we do not spend on the beach we will dedicate to activities that are related to the work of balance and other physical requirements such as long skateboarding. The initiation can be done from Easter to November while the advanced level is also available in winter.

- Children's and youth surf camps : for kids between 10 and 17 years old with prices for one or two weeks. There are 4 hours of surfing a day in total and the instructors constantly supervise the participants, day and night. We open shifts at Easter, from the end of June and in July.

In addition, in July we incorporated teaching in English with 2 hours of classes and a chat with a native teacher in our English Camp .

Learn to coordinate your movements in the paddle surf board by reserving a place for the classes we give you at Barrika Surf Camp. Here, in the Basque Coast , you have the possibility of doing this sport all year round in any of its modalities.

We work the most basic levels of stand up paddle for those who need to start at the beginning. However, we also address students who go one step further in their knowledge preparing for them lessons of sup in waves and sup-race .

Keep in mind that if you still do not reach much, when the sea remains calm paddle surfing is very easy. We will also explain how to practice it both in Spanish and in English , or in Basque if you prefer. You have several options to sign up:

- In groups : although they are always reduced between 5 and 6 people for each of the teachers. If you have a couple of free hours you can already have your class and if you are going to spend several days with us you have courses of up to 7 days.

- In private : our private lessons are for groups between 1 and 3 students and are hired in blocks of 2 hours for prices that we adapt to the number of participants. This way you get cheaper.
