Canal Olímpic de Catalunya

The Canal Olímpic de Catalunya consists of 450,000 m2 of which 150,000 m2 are fresh water from the water table.

It was built by the Institut Català del Sòl for the 1992 Olympic Games, as the venue for canoeing competitions. The Canal is 1,200 m long, 130 m wide and 4 m deep. The road that surrounds the Canal is 2,700 m long.

There are various possibilities for using the installation that are adapted to different needs, both for continuous use through the family or individual subscription, as well as occasional individual or group use. The facility can also be used with your own sports equipment, although motor boats are not allowed.

In our facilities you can take courses of the following activities:

• Canoeing
• Kayak and canoes
• Windsurf
• Optimist
• Archery
• Water ski

The duration of the courses will depend on whether you choose a weekly or weekend course: 

• Weekly: it will last for 5 days and a total of 10 hours. 
• Weekend:  4 days and a total of 8 hours.

In Canal Olímpic de Catalunya Archery we have many activities to do. We schedule activities for schools, and since they began in the early 90s, more than 60,000 young people have passed through our facilities.

In the case of Archery, the activity lasts one hour, and the minimum to carry out the activity is 15 people.
