Bodegas Orusco discovers the wines of the Community of Madrid through a visit to its wineries in Valdelicha.
Valdelicha is a town located in a valley. Its geographical layout is prone to the harvest of vineyards and provides a special touch to the resulting wines. Given the distance it maintains from the capital, the climate it enjoys makes it ideal for maintaining crops, producing one of the best wines in the region for more than 500 years.
The history of Bodegas Orusco dates back to 1896 and has evolved to become one of the largest producers in the Community of Madrid with more than 1 and a half million liters annually. Its success lies in the mixture of the traditional and the innovative, maintaining the family aspect together with the most modern production techniques.
Wine from the Community of Madrid is a guarantee of quality and the Denomination of Origin certifies it. The particular characteristics of Madrid wine are given by the singularities of the land on which the plantation is established, something that radically distinguishes it from any other Spanish wine. Thanks to the fact that the raw material is of the highest quality and the availability of D.O., the wineries of the Community managed to expand both throughout the Spanish geography and internationally.
Bodegas Orusco began exporting wine in 1990 and 20 years later it has managed to conquer several countries in Europe such as Belgium, the United Kingdom and Holland, among others. In addition, they have managed to position themselves in the South American market thanks to the incursion into Colombia and Bolivia.
