What are the mandatory requirements for this experience?

In general, all companies operating on the coast of Alicante apply, without exception, a restriction, which is not very prohibitive, regarding age. The only requirement stipulated is that the children who come to do the activity must be at least 6 years old if they are occupants.

The child can sit in their own seat in a tandem kayak as well as in an individual kayak (there is the alternative of renting a canoe appropriate for their size) if they already have some previous experience. If not, they will be placed on the lap of one of their parents or in the middle of the boat, right between the two legal guardians. In line with this, the maximum age to be considered a "child" is always 12 years old.

What do I have to bring on the day of the activity?

It should be taken into account, unequivocally, that although the activity takes place outdoors, sitting in the cabin, what is really important is related to the temperature of the water at that moment. This would be a concise summary: it is a matter of preserving body heat in the event of falling into the water, as there is a potential danger of hypothermia.

For all these reasons, it is recommended to wear a short-sleeved T-shirt in the summer, and also a long-sleeved T-shirt as a precaution, both made of synthetic materials such as polyester or polypropylene, which help to keep the heat in, even if they get wet.
