Albergue Sierra de Gredos

The Sierra de Gredos Hostel is much more than a rural house where you can come to rest from the daily routine in an optimal natural environment. It is also a center in charge of organizing, for anyone who wants to participate, active tourism activities with which you will learn more about the Sierra de Gredos and its surroundings.

Some of the activities we carry out are:

- Archery: discover the advantages and benefits for your health that learning to shoot with a bow and arrows brings you. You will not only improve your physical strength, but also your ability to concentrate with the 5 senses and your visual acuity.

- Mountain bike routes: we carry out different routes throughout the Sierra de Gredos. We divide the groups by age and bike riding level.

- Canoe trips: join one of our excursions by canoeing through the El Burguillo reservoir and choose if you prefer a quiet activity, through calm waters or an exciting activity, strolling through the white waters.

-River descents- 3 kilometers of adventure, from Navaluenga to the Sierra de Gredos Lodge.

-Aquatic Gymkhanas- fun canoeing games, with a map, a pencil ... the rest is up to you.

All water activities have a souvenir photo or video as a gift.

In the Albergue de Sierra de Gredos we have the best facilities so that users who come to see us can do all kinds of adventure activities with us enjoying the wonderful views of the place and outdoor exercises in a natural environment favorable to the health of the body and mind.

One of the most requested activities by the participants who come to spend time in our hostel, or simply to do the activity alone, is the canoe ride.

This activity is becoming more popular every day since meets the expectations of the most adventurous and those who want a more peaceful ride.

We have capacity for up to 2 or 3 people per canoe and people of all ages can be sailing simultaneously. It is an activity chosen especially by family groups who want to take a walk to discover the landscapes that are hidden on the sides of the river in the Sierra de Gredos.

We also do water gymkhanas with tests and races for the more adventurous, ideal for groups of friends, bachelor parties, ...

In our Hostel in the Sierra de Gredos we have a wide range of options to take advantage of your stay in the countryside. All our activities are focused on enjoying the outdoors and adventure sports with which you will discover much more about the natural environment around you and about yourself.

One of the simplest and most rewarding activities we do is our mountain bike routes . These will be divided according to the level of the group and its age. In this way we will have routes for:

- Children: routes for the little ones, for pre-adolescents and for adolescents with which they will visit different points of the Sierra de Gredos. In these cases, the difficulty of the itinerary has been previously evaluated.

- Beginner level adults: these routes will be designed for adults who are not used to doing mountain bike routes, therefore their duration will not be very long.

- Mid-level adults: for the group of people who are already used to cycling but not to long journeys.

The archery activity is one of the most exciting activities that you can do both outdoors and indoors.

In the Albergue Sierra de Gredos we have the possibility of practicing this sport that has existed for human beings since the Paleolithic , since there are many Cave paintings dating from that date show people carrying a simple but effective bow and arrow. At first, archery was a necessity of man to be able to hunt his food and little by little it evolved to the sport category, reaching a niche even in the Olympics.

Among the wide variety of activities we offer, one of them is archery. Both for children and adults. We have facilities prepared for this exercise and qualified monitors in this practice. They will be in charge of teaching you the basics of archery through a friendly and welcoming treatment.

Come spend a different vacation in our hostel and feel like a medieval hero with your bow and arrows.

At the Sierra de Gredos Shelter we have organized a summer camp for your children to spend 12 days surrounded by nature and doing all kinds of sports activities, play and let off their creativity.

Our hostel is located in the Sierra de Gredos, specifically in Navaluenga. In it children will have everything they need to have a pleasant stay. We also have a team of educators and monitors specialized in the care and treatment of children, so your children will be perfectly cared for at all times. And, of course, we provide all the necessary material to carry out the different activities of the camp.

Children can go out for a canoe ride through the El Burguillo reservoir and, incidentally, enjoy the beauty of nature that will surround them. They can go to our rope park or to the archery field and we will also carry out orientation games through the field and routes hiking to get to know the mountains.

We will also make excursions through the town and to the Valle de Iruelas Natural Reserve , and we will make trips to the natural pool , very close to the hostel, and We will also go to the chlorine pool . We will also have a large number of workshops, for all tastes. We will dye old t-shirts, learn to juggle and recycled paper and much more.

Fun is guaranteed with the water games , which will also refresh them, sports games and will have a great variety of toys and games at their disposal.

We will also train children in environmental education and we will teach English class , there will be time for everything. And in our night out they will have a great time playing and chatting with their new friends.
