ECEM Mountain School organizes snowshoe routes through forests and snowy landscapes of the Aigüestortes National Park, Cavallers Zone, Vall de Boí or around the Pont de Suert.

Few activities are as grateful and harmonious as progressing through the interior of a Leridan forest with snowshoes. The progression technique is quick to assimilate and you will be able to enjoy a beautiful and fun experience. We ensure that you calmly enjoy inaccessible areas where the snow leaves postcard-perfect panoramic views.

From the ECEM Mountain School we want to offer you snowshoe excursions during the winter season. We will begin with the first snowfalls and we will be able to extend the season until approximately after Easter. It is one of the best winter activities and sports with which to enjoy the Catalan Pyrenees!

You will be accompanied by a certified guide with UIAGM – UIMLA credentials. This way you can be completely sure that the instructions it provides, both to you and the rest of the group, are correct. Thanks to your preparation, you will also be able to deal with any incident that may occur along the way.

Ready to discover beautiful landscapes with snowshoes on your feet?

At the ECEM Mountain School we take you rafting on the Noguera Ribagorça river. The descent is carried out in a specific inflatable boat for this sport with a maximum capacity of 9 people (8 clients + 1 guide) in the section enabled for this modality.

The material necessary for the activity will be composed of: complete neoprene for each person with booties for the feet, life jacket that they will wear over this suit, helmet for head protection, appropriate footwear and a paddle per participant .

The activity is equipped with: a first aid kit in case of emergency and a mobile phone from which we can communicate. We will carry an inflatable bellows, whistle and rescue rope as safety elements.

All our activities have accident insurance and civil liability insurance available to our clients.

The sections of river chosen for the descent will always be conditioned to the particular characteristics of its river flow, the number of participants, their age and physical condition. We will also consider the weather conditions at the time of descent. The guides will do this evaluation beforehand to make the changes they deem appropriate for the well-being of the participants.

Before starting the activity, all the necessary material is delivered to each of the people who accompany us. Once equipped, we proceed to the explanation of how to use it and discuss the notions of safety, navigation technique and guidelines for action during the descent and in case of eventuality. We also give a brief introduction to the riverside ecosystem and the respect we must have to keep our rivers alive.

The descent will be carried outwith at least two guidesto guarantee everyone's safety. In the event that there is no longer a boat with clients, another instructor will monitor security and accompaniment. With two or more boats, supervision is maintained from one guide to another through visual contact.

The duration of the descent will depend on the section, the distance to be covered and the flow of the river, but it is usually between 1 hour and 90 minutes.

During the descent, a company vehicle will monitor the activity with replacement navigation material. If something happens to us, they will change the item we need at a suitable point on the river.

The company vehicle will wait at the end of the journey to pick up the clients, all the material and return to the base.
