From Silvestres we try to find the best activities to be able to transmit all the values that ecotourism provides. Our main intention is to make you fall in love with the Valle del Oja area and the Sierra de la Demanda mountains.

We have a wide variety of sports for you to know these areas and other activities in which we will experience nature in a very intense way.

• Hiking: in the surroundings there are paths for all levels of difficulty. You will pass through incredible mountains or valleys so your backpack should not miss the camera. These excursions will be supervised by a guide who will discover areas full of secrets.
  
• Ornithology: bird watching at different times of the year. Forest habitats, high mountains, meadows and fields, cereal steppe, wetlands, ...
  
• 4x4: get on an SUV with us and go through any of the circuits we have planned. You can go around the Sierra de la Demanda or take a somewhat shorter path like the one in the vicinity of Ezcaray.
  
• BTT: we rent you a bike so you can go to the mountains with it and feel nature every time you pedal. There are simple routes in the surroundings but others a little more complicated that you will not be able to finish unless you have experience with mountain biking.

We can also prepare mycological outings or to observe the native fauna. Ask us about everything we can do and we will respond quickly so that you can come and meet us as soon as possible.

Would you like to get on a bike and travel the most surprising roads in the Ezcaray area? In Silvestres we have the MTBs ready for you to take them and start pedaling along roads and paths that surprise everyone who passes through them.

One route that we propose is the Vía Verde del Oja , it is so simple that it is rather a walk in which you can enjoy peacefully with whoever you want. Although if you want a slightly more complex route, we suggest you come to the Camino de la Herradura that runs through the towns and villages around Ezcaray .

You can rent the bike on your own and choose any of the routes that we have proposed. Before departure we will recommend the points you must go through for a global vision of the environment. You can also look for a different way or go Ezcaray and its streets.

The bikes adapt to different sizes. There are some for young people and others for adults, so that everyone can have a vehicle to suit them and feel comfortable during the tour. The same goes for the helmet, but don't worry because we have all the sizes to protect you.

In Silvestres we have found the best routes to enjoy the forest accompanied by one of our guides. There are infinite options to get to know the Sierra de la Demanda area and we can take you through any of them, although we want to tell you which are the most special and beautiful of all we have.

• Artaso Forest: is a route that lasts 4 hours and that you will love as it passes through the fantastic Artaso ravine. It will be about 9'5 kilometers s approximately and it does not have much difficulty so you can do it with anyone.
  
• Valle de Cilbarna: we will raise the level a little more on this route where you will find slopes a little more complicated. We will visit this valley that is in the vicinity of the Oja River and then we will go to El Águila hill to discover unforgettable corners.
  
• Paseo de los Siete Puentes: is an exceptional and very interesting route for those who want to learn new things. It is somewhat complex (although not too much) and it will be a total of 10'5 kilometers that will take you to travel 4 or 5 hours approximately.

These excursions are only a sample of all the paths that you can find, but we can look for any you ask.

In the Sierra de La Demanda there is an incredible variety of tracks and paths to travel. In Silvestres we encourage you to get on a 4x4 and cross the area that surrounds us.

On top of the SUV you can enjoy wildlife that moves in total freedom so you will feel almost like on a safari. If you bring your camera we will try to find the best spots so that you can immortalize the best places that exist in Alto Oja . We will focus on key points so that you can focus on your favorite places.

There are countless routes in this area, although we have a few already set. One of the shortest is the Ezcaray Villages, but if you want to go up the mountain we will organize a tour through La Demanda or through the Yuso and Suso mountains.

For those who like to do some tourism, we will offer a tour of the Monasteries that exist in the surroundings such as San Millán de la Cogolla.

As there are so many itineraries, we will try to recommend one that suits your tastes so do not hesitate and contact us if you want to enjoy nature in the 4x4.

We like to observe everything that nature can offer us and that is why we want you to come with us to a day of ornithology.
Birds are amazing animals and it is best to find them in their natural habitat to be able to see how they move in total freedom. With Silvestres you will go to the Humedal de los Valpierres , this place is located in Hervías but we will take you there from Ezcaray.

It is a first contact with the world of ornithology, so we will loan you the binoculars so that you can observe the birds from a safe distance. We also usually use a telescope with which we are able to spot the most beautiful species flying over the area without losing any detail. There are usually applications on the mobile phone that will help us identify the species that we find if you carry this device with you.

There is no age limit and the excursion will last between 2 and 3 hours. If you are ready to marvel at the bird species in our region, contact us as soon as possible and we will organize an ornithology day for you when you you ask us.

During the winter season, the Sierra de La Demanda does not offer sensational panoramic views.

During this time, Silvestres offers you the opportunity to explore its silent whitewashed peaks, to enter its soft snowy forests or breathe the fresh and pure air of the lonely frozen mountain. Breaking through a thick blanket of virgin snow is a real pleasure for the senses.

With our SUVs we will be able to access the most inaccessible places to start the routes from places that most of the people do not reach. The possibilities are multiple: surroundings of the Valdezcaray winter resort, Puerto de la Cruz de La Demanda, Puerto de Pradilla and Pico Torocuervo , among many others.
