Berria Surf School

At the Berria Surf School we collect the experiences gained since our inauguration in 1998 in the well-known Santoña to continue offering you quality training suitable to you today.

Why are we so sure?

- We act under the direction of Rubén Abelenda, instructor at the head of a team member of the national Federation that has competed inside and outside our country.

- The material that we lend to the student during the course, at no additional cost, belongs to top brands (Reef and O'neill) with which we guarantee your comfort and safety.

- We provide you with accommodation so that you can spend more than one day with us focused on this sport without worrying about anything else.

As for the time of year that we recommend to visit us, any time is good, due to our position in a spot known for its good conditions for surfing.

At Berria Surf School we are waiting for you at Berria Beach to give you a solid foundation in surfing in the easiest way.

In our facilities, where you will find more than 2,200 square meters, you can share experience with people your age, since we give classes for children, teenagers and adults. Only 20 meters from the sea separate us.

We base our method on what we ourselves have learned as professionals in more than a decade, which allows us to easily identify the needs of each student:

- We follow a process in which our errors allow us to establish a good foundation since through video correction we look at the weak points that we present to correct them as soon as possible.

- We do not exceed 5 people in charge of each instructor who will have previously distributed them according to the age of each student and the level they presented at the time of registration in the course.

- We are flexible in the schedule, establishing two shifts between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and two more between 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. If you decide to visit us on Saturday and Sunday, each day you can decide to spend 2 or 4 hours surfing.

- You don't need anything, both the use of the board, the neoprene and the insurance are included in each course.

If you already have experience we can rent you the equipment so that you can go take a bath at your leisure.

Berria Surf School offers you surf camps for children and adults throughout the year in one of the most emblematic places to practice this activity: the Cantabrian Sea.

We offer various combinations in order to adapt to all levels and thus be able to satisfy all our clients. Our catalog is very extensive:

-Surf Camp for minors. Aimed at kids ages 10 to 18 during the summer months. Parents will be informed at all times about the progress of their children. We also offer the possibility of combining this activity with learning English.

-Surf Camp adults. Aimed at people over 18 years old, they can come visit us during the summer or Easter. Includes accommodation on a full board basis.

-Personalized Surf Camp. Our goal is to cover the needs of those who are not available in summer or during vacations. We adapt our calendar!

We also have camp options for groups.

We also offer various activities in order to make your stay more dynamic:

-Fun and games: Beach volleyball, petanque championships, tandem, among many others.

-Visits and excursions: Walks through nature reserves and zip line activities.
