Deslizando Sierra Nevada

Road connections to Sierra Nevada are getting better and better and there are more and more facilities. There are already 5 car parks where you can park. Important to remember the strings. If you are coming towards Madrid, you just have to follow the A-4 up to Bailén and, there, take the A-44 that will take you directly to Granada. From Seville, you just have to follow the A-92 that also connects with Almería. If you choose to come from Malaga, take the A-7, until you turn off onto the N-323 which, later, will link up with the A-44 that will lead you to Granada. Once in Granada, to go up to Sierra Nevada, take the A-395. These are the highways that connect Sierra Nevada with the outside world: A-92, connects the city with Almería and Seville; A-44, connects with the A-4 in Bailén and with the A-7 in Motril. If you have to travel by plane, Malaga airport is the most indicated. Flights to this airport are usually cheap and it is located about 2 hours by car from the ski resort. You also find other airports but they are located much further away, such as Madrid 4 hours from Granada, Valencia 6 hours and Barcelona 8 hours. Granada has an airport, but few flights arrive here and prices are usually much higher than flights to Malaga airport. Arriving in Sierra Nevada, we recommend you choose the car park thinking about where you are going to stay and how long you are going to stay. The parking closest to the slopes and the cheapest is Parking Los Peñones, it is in the upper area. It is the most used by day visitors. If you want to park in the lower area, near the Plaza de Andalucía, you can do so in the only covered car park, Parking Plaza de Andalucía. Be careful, this is the most expensive.
