Diego de Alzaa is the manager of a school specialized in the disciplines of paddle surfing, kite surfing and also surfing , with professionals trained in Australia and Spain. Every year he uses new equipment and the best materials on the market.

Our initiative is based on the idea of transmitting positive values through surfing. We want to train the first surfers with a philosophy of respect for nature and the beaches, as well as to acquire healthy habits. We love surfing and we want to train you in the best way, always with quality material and staff.

Our training program offers you private and group courses and classes in these aquatic disciplines, so that you learn at your own pace and with the best help of professional instructors who will be by your side during your evolution.

At Diego de Alzaa we instruct you and introduce you to the world of paddle surfing on the beaches of Denia , although we also have experience on the other side of the world: in Australia.

There are several ways to practice it: in flat sea , catching the waves, races and crossings. To learn, the best thing is to get on the board with the sea calm and, little by little, learn techniques of the other modalities.

Paddle surfing is a sister activity to surfing that consists of standing up on a board with the help of some oars. It is a relaxed and very original activity, but at the same time it allows you to exercise your whole body.

new surfers must know and understand the environment : how the sea works and how waves are formed. The types of beaches and the materials to use (types of boards and wetsuits).

Other issues to consider are knowing how to choose the best spot suitable for weather conditions and the level of rowing we have, knowing how to recognize entry and exit channels to the sea for safe paddle surfing, and Something very important is to know the rules, priorities and values of this sport and to incorporate the pop up techniques on the board.

The ultimate goal is to ensure that each surfer is an athlete committed to the philosophy and culture of the sea , independent in the water, who practices surfing with good technique and is able to coexist with nature without destroying it.

We teach weekly courses of Stand Up Paddle in the Marineta Casiana beach of the city of Alicante divided into groups of children under 12 years of age or older on schedule from 10:30 to 12 hours.

For every 6 students there will be a specialized monitor who will teach you movements and postures such as PRONO, being face down on the board or advancing in the water practicing different paddling and paddling techniques. But we will also teach you to observe the sea, how the waves form and how to take advantage of them, how the weather conditions affect the currents ... but above all, you will learn to enjoy a sport that has managed to conquer thousands of people.

From Ocean Academy, the mission of our classes is to transmit the most important values of surfing, such as:

This way of understanding surfing is the basis of the surfing experience , where from the first minute the students immerse themselves in a world of waves, travel, seas and oceans and what matters most for a surfer: the enjoyment of freedom.

Our goal is to train surfers and athletes committed to the simple life. Ocean Academy's style is entertaining, fun, and technical. The school uses the best and most appropriate equipment for the learning of children and adults according to the ages and levels of each person.

On the beaches of Denia you have the option of enrolling your children in a surf and paddle surf campus , more specifically on the beach of Marineta Casiana , a fabulous place for children for their safety and good weather.

The first step of the campus classes is to learn the basic techniques of paddle surfing in the flat sea to stand up paddling and get the hang of this sport.

The second part is the technique to catch the waves with the surfboard. Balance is essential and the exercises to be practiced are based on training that balance to advance correctly.

The boards we use are inflatable , safe to practice on the sand of the beach and later in the calm sea. We even have a Big SUP board with which to have fun times with the other children.

While they learn to handle the boards, they will also know how the sea, the wind and the waves move, something essential for surfing, in addition to that we teach them to respect the environment and have an awareness of nature, typical of the surfing philosophy .

The monitors are bilingual and the hours are from 9:00 to 10:30 and from 10:30 to 12:00 .

During the holidays your children, from 6 years old , have the opportunity to continue learning and improving their knowledge of English with our Paddle Kids and English camp.

We will be at Playa Marineta Casiana in Denia, which we have chosen for its excellent conditions for the safety of the activity we do in the water. We will meet every day in the booth that belongs to the Nautical Activities Center located in the Marina of Dénia itself. We will do it during the summer weeks, from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.

We encourage the participation of all attendees in this program, ensuring that they have a good time while their English is strengthened. During these days they will learn the main bases of stand up paddel achieving important objectives for the little ones who gain autonomy and immerse themselves in a new sport.

English will be taught with classes on a daily basis in a classroom set up for it with native teachers . These professionals will come from English Studio Denia, a specialized academy, who will chat in the Anglo-Saxon language about surfing and issues related to the sea, leaving the classic atmosphere of traditional classes.
