Tartaruga Surf Center

Tartaruga Surf Center is a professional school that is registered in the Spanish Surf Federation. You can find us at Playa de Las Lanzadas, one of the aquatic sanctuaries in Galicia.

This is a Multi-activity Sliding Sports Center. We teach classes in the following modalities:

• Surf.
• Paddle Surf.
• Paddle Surf Routes.
• Kitesurfing - IKO.
• Windsurfing.
• Diving - Scuba Diving - PADI.
• Surf Casting.
• Paddle Surf.
• Sea Kayak.

All the necessary equipment for the practice of these activities can be rented in our facilities, we are surf professionals and we work with leading brands.

Do you fancy fishing ? There is no better place to do this activity than Lanzada beach !

Specifically, it is an exceptional place for cast fishing , also called surf-casting .

We do 3-hour fishing sessions , with little theory and a lot of practice .

We like to make the departures between 21:30 and 00:30 , since this time slot is the one in which we are most likely to make good catches of species such as bream, sea bass or pinto.

We put the rod, the baits, flashlights, chairs, etc. We will also bring a small snack !

If you need transportation from a hotel or campsite, we can provide it as well.

And if you want to try deep sea fishing, we have a boat for 8 crew members , with all the tackle necessary.

At Tartaruga Surf Center , we are clear about our objectives when we do any scuba dive : we must have as much fun as possible, always in a responsible way , and complying with all security regulations.

All diving courses that we carry out in our center are approved under the international PADI qualification.

The most basic course that we teach is the Discover Scuba Diving . It can be done from 12 years . We make a first dive in confined waters , and another in open waters .

The next course is the famous Open Water Diver , perfect for initiation , and to be able to officially belong to the PADI organization. The course lasts about 30-35 hours .

With the Advanced Open Water you will go from ponder diving up to 18 meters , to descending to 40 . An experience!

For the Rescue Diver , you need the Emergency First Response course, which we also teach. With the rescue course , you will learn to identify and resolve risky situations underwater.

We also carry out the Divemaster , for those who want to dedicate themselves to diving in a professional way.

We have other diving techniques qualifications.

Get to know the underwater world with Tartaruga Surf Center !

At Tartaruga Surf Center we organize some beautiful kayak routes through the Pontevedra estuary . They are easy level routes (perfect for families ), through a exceptional landscape .

The routes begin at the Sanxenxo marina . We will kayak along the coast of Areas and Nanín . We will pass by Punta Festiñanza Cape .

During the journey, we will visit the mythical Pirate's Cave , and then to the Agra Area beach .

Our recommendation is not to come with children under 6 years old . It is essential to know how to swim.

To carry out these kayak excursions we need at least 6 participants . In each kayak can go 2 adults , or 2 adults plus a child .

On the route you will be accompanied by a support boat .

La Lanzada Beach is a mecca for all Kite Surf lovers , at Tartatuga Surf Center we seek to bring this sport closer to everyone the public ones.

We offer courses from one to several days, totally personalized. A professional kite instructor will be in charge of teaching you how to handle the kite, balance on the board and the combination of both practices.

It is also taught to interpret the different types of winds and the weather.

All the material for kitesurfing can be rented in our center, the equipment will vary according to the level of the users.

Enjoy one of the best ways to make the most of your holidays, because thanks to the instructors that we form Tartaruga Surf Center Surf you will know a show with which you can enjoy great sensations.

We have different programs with which you can learn at your own pace, aimed at those who have never practiced it as well as those who already have a foundation and need to perfect their technique. In addition, our classes are reduced so that you receive the most personalized attention possible.

The introductory course is designed so that you can have a basic idea of how this sport is practiced and you will be able to enjoy this activity from minute zero. In addition, we also teach small theoretical classes with which you can learn everything related to tides, waves, currents, the characteristics of different models of surfboards, the wind, safety measures, rowing techniques ...

Each and every one of the classes will take place 20% on land, which will be where we explain the theory and rehearse the techniques of standing up, and 80% in the water, practicing everything learned from the instructor's explanations.

With practice you will be able to stand on the board and the first time you do it, it will be an incredible feeling that you will never forget.

The wind blows and the action begins at the Tartaruga Surf Center ! windsurfing is one of the modalities that our users enjoy the most, it is a sport that mixes sailing and surfing. And the result is a fun activity suitable for all audiences.

We offer courses that are adapted to all clients, no matter the experience you have in this type of surfing, sooner than you expect you will be sailing thanks to the force of the wind.

Depending on the level of the student, you can rent a windsurf board or another, there are for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels.

All our monitors are certified by the Spanish Windsurf Federation, a guarantee of professionalism.

Without a doubt, paddle surfing is the sensation of this summer. You can't stay without practicing it! That is why at Tartaruga Surf Center you can rent all the necessary equipment to spend a fun day of SUP.

One of the great advantages of this modality is that it is very easy to learn. The paddle surf boards are much larger, and you also have the support of a paddle.

You can make excursions through the Rias Baixas in search of coves and beaches full of charm.
