Feel welcome to 4x4 Live Routes! Our goal is that you live the best adventures uploaded to our SUVs in the southwest area of Asturias, starting from Cangas de Narcea
, where our base is.
Through our itineraries, you will not only get to know the most impressive Asturian landscapes, but we will also take you to places where you can taste their gastronomy and discover the products that are locally produced. We will drive you through the main points of interest in the region such as the Muniellos Biosphere Reserve, the Fuentes del Narcea or the Parador Nacional de Corias.
We give you the option to design your route by meeting with us or with pick-up at the Asturias airport.
Fundamentally we work with two different 4x4 routes:
In this off-road tour we start by seeing the San Antonio chapel, which is located in the neighborhood of Cascarín (Cangas de Narcea) and from there we head for the Sierra del Pando, while we see the surrounding villages, the banks of the Narcea or the Luiña.
We will visit different chapels very loved by the locals, and that is where the figures of the Saints are found for those who celebrate the summer holidays.
From the Magdalena we will continue towards Trasmonte, passing through the old Coto mine and different towns in the area, such as Vidal, Gedrez, Jalón, Piedrfita or Riotorno.
We will make stops for the guide to explain in detail the peculiarities of each place.
In Brañas de Narcea we can see the place where the Narcea River is born, next to the Monastery of Hermo. Very close to here there is a restaurant where we stop to eat a good Asturian menu
and rest before returning.
Route of the Santuario del Acebo
We set sail for the Puerto de Leitariegos, up to Puenticiella. Here we take the direction of Cobos and we go through different paths that lead us to the Santuario del Acebo, where we will stop for half an hour.
In this place you can photograph some excellent landscapes, you can enter to see this stupendous church and you can even acquire the well-known "Acebo ribbons", blessed.
In addition, we will be in the place where the most famous stage of the Cycling Tour of Asturias ends.
We resume the circuit to go towards Vegalapiedra, Pilarina, and Tebongo, with off-road parts. We will pass through famous wineries in the area since they are traditionally vineyards. In one of these wineries, a stop is scheduled for you to take a wine tasting session
and you can taste some delicious wines, with accompanying tapas.
Choose what you want to do, or even propose the itinerary yourself and we will try to offer you exactly what you are looking for through customized routes. Keep in mind that in some points we even have the possibility of free camping.
