So in these lines we're going to tell you about the spots in Benidorm that you can't miss if you're a fan of diving, so that you can choose wisely according to your tastes and experience.

Where to scuba dive in Benidorm?

- La Llosa, an emblematic diving spot in this city. It's just behind Benidorm Island and happens to be the most diverse marine area, so you can imagine the colourful spectacle you'll find here. Many consider it to be the best place to dive on the Costa Blanca and with good reason. With a diving depth of between 6 and 25 metres, these waters are inhabited by bream and moray eels, and in its deepest parts, by lobsters, dentex, barracudas and groupers. So we can say that you can enjoy an afternoon of diving in La Llosa with both a baptism and a dive.

- Los Arcos is another diving spot in Benidorm, specifically on the island of Benidorm, in the east of the island. Here a rocky bottom awaits us and that's a good sign, because it only means that the amount of life that awaits us is rich and distinguished. It has a maximum depth of 25 metres and as we pass by we will find huge walls lined with corals and yellow polyps. Nearby, immense and imposing eagle rays and curious octopuses will swim calmly alongside us, peeping out from their hiding places.

- Punta Garbí is another area of Benidorm Island, but this one in particular is fantastic for beginners. A first dive at Punta Garbí is a great choice as we are talking about a simple dive with gentle currents. The seabed is sandy which makes it easy to see marine fauna. In this area in particular you will see rat fish, conger eels, eels and if you are lucky, the occasional moray eel slipping through a rocky wall. Be careful! You may also come across octopus.

- Sierra Helada Natural Park. This time we move away from Benidorm Island and return to the coast to talk about the possibility of diving at the foot of this natural park, a colossal mountain on the edge of the Mediterranean where diving is a delight. A dive in the Sierra Helada is the ultimate plan for those who have a background in this world. If you try a dive here, get ready for an experience that combines diving and speleology, because you will walk through the interior of 2 marine caves: the Cueva de los Enanos (Dwarfs' Cave) and the Cueva del Elefante (Elephant's Cave). The first is smaller and its entrance is covered in orange due to the corals that adorn its entrance. The second is even more impressive. 12 metres deep and an interior full of stalactites, stalactites that you can discover without the need for diving equipment, as this cave has an air bubble, so you can go out and discover it for yourself.

- Finally, let's talk about Isla Mediana, a dive site in Benidorm with a depth of 26 metres. The seascapes are mesmerising, although the best thing is undoubtedly the large number of octopuses that dwell in these waters, so much so that it has been christened the Island of Octopuses. Its northwest side is not even ten metres deep, but don't worry, because it is on the opposite side where you will have to go to discover a rocky bottom where you will come across all kinds of specimens, especially sunfish, a huge and majestic white and round fish that surprises anyone with its large wingspan.
