At Las Machotas we are specialized in groups, our routes are a different way to enjoy with the family, ideal for plans with children from a sustainable tourism point of view and respect for the environment Environment.

We have four different types of electric bicycles and children's aids that cover ages from 2 years onwards.

We classify our bicycle routes into four levels of difficulty adaptable to any physical-technical level and guided by a monitor certified by the Madrid Cycling Federation.

The routes pass through the municipalities of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Robledo de Chavela, Fresnedillas de la Oliva, Colmenar de Arroyo, Navalagamella, Valdemorillo and Zarzalejo where our Center is located just 5 minutes from El Escorial .

We offer other services such as weekend bike routes with accommodation, activities for bachelor parties or Team Building days for companies.

With Las Machotas on your next electric bike route through the mountains of Madrid, everything will be under control. We take care: to provide you with the electric fat bike type, to add a guide service, if you feel like it, and to provide you with assistance during the itinerary.

To leave nothing to chance we have established four levels of difficulty. Our team will help you determine which is yours by deciding between the simplest routes, the green and the blue, and the ones that pose a challenge, such as the red and the black. Some of them are:

- Through the town of Zarzalejo: it is the simplest of our proposals with 7.8 km of easy and accessible paths that will take us to the Mirador del Guijo with the opportunity to contemplate the sources of Canillo and Venero.

- To the Chair of Felipe II: we will make a bicycle route to the La Herrería forest classified as green level, suitable for everyone, covering a distance of 14.2 km. It is an excursion in which we will obtain magnificent views of the Sierra de Guadarrama and its peaks, such as Abantos and San Lorenzo de El Escorial.

- Camino San Martín: we will follow easy trails completing a greater distance, since this route touches 32 km in total. We will leave Zarzalejo in the direction of San Martín where the Navahonda hermitage is located.

- To the Lagunas de Castrejón by los Ismaeles: a 12 and a half km route of intermediate complexity that will allow us to see the ZEPA areas that determine the protection of the bird species that inhabit the area.

We also have guided tours fixed on weekends:

Cañeros Saturdays - Red level guided routes, maximum 6 places per group, intermediate-difficult technical level.

Quiet Sundays - Guided tours green level, maximum 14 places per group, easy level, suitable for all audiences and recommended for families with children .

IN SUMMER - Wednesday night routes .

Our guided routes will be done by qualified personnel from the Madrid Cycling Federation.

In Las Machotas you have the opportunity to rent our electric bikes to pedal through the Sierra Oeste in Madrid in a comfortable way and with less effort than with traditional bikes. If you are a cyclist, our fat bikes will give you the opportunity to try a different modality with which you can extend your routes for more kilometers.

- What models can we offer you ?: the Type A fat bike is the one that we direct to the public from 15 years of age with a height of 1.55 m. It has a 26 'wheel and a Samsung battery. It is available with a 20 'wheel for children from 8 years old.

If you want to share experience on the same bike, we have a tandem model (from 5 to 10 years old) and a trailer to carry the little ones, from 2 to 5 years old) prepared to support a weight of up to 40 kilos.

- What else can we provide you ?: by renting the bike we lend you the helmet and a basic kit with a multi-tool wrench and the essential consumables to solve minor breakdowns or punctures on the road. Keep in mind that the fat bike has an anti-theft locator for greater security.

You can request the bikes for a minimum time of 1 hour or for 4 hours of use and additionally you can hire a guide always having the option of moving freely.
