Todoaventur organizes ski courses and trips in its two best-known modalities. Cross-country skiing and Alpine skiing.
At Alpine Skiing, we have experienced ski instructors, who will teach courses from beginner levels to advanced levels. The minimum age in introductory courses is 5 years. In the case of these courses, the important thing is to put children in contact with the snow and teach them how to handle themselves in its environment.
In Cross Country Skiing, also called Nordic skiing. It is a very healthy aerobic activity, which consists of moving on skis along moderately inclined forest trails and tracks. We can practice it in natural spaces away from crowds.
We don't need ski lifts, we propel ourselves, freely tracing our route.

Todoaventur organizes tours through the Sierra de Guadarrama. We have specialized guides who, depending on the level and habits of the participants, will adapt both the route and its duration.
Todoaventur recommends following the theory of the Three Layers in terms of the equipment that we should carry:
First Layer: The first layer of underwear must be made of a water-repellent fiber (that does not get soaked) and that facilitates perspiration. They prevent us from becoming cold with body sweat when the level of physical activity decreases. Garments with a high percentage of polypropylene, polyester or chlorofiber, maintain dry heat and a pleasant touch. We should avoid cotton underwear, which feels soft to the touch but retains sweat. In winter we will choose a thick garment, with hollow fibers that stores more warm air; while in summer we will better look for a thin garment with a mesh structure that allows rapid evacuation of perspiration. These garments weigh little and dry quickly.
Second Layer: The second layer, of intermediate garments, is the one that will carry out the most intense work in terms of thermal insulation. The clothes are not warm by themselves, they only fulfill (to a greater or lesser extent) the function of retaining the heat generated by our body. The down jackets provide excellent performance in terms of thermal insulation; but it offers several drawbacks: it is very cumbersome due to the volume it occupies (it is very non-aerodynamic), the feathers lose their insulating properties with humidity coming from the outside or inside. Polyester fleece offers the possibility of retaining heat in the millions of tiny air chambers formed by the microfilaments that make up the fabric. Fibers with commercial names such as Polartec (polyester) or Windstopper (which includes an outer membrane with a windbreak function, and withstands the first drops of water before seeking shelter).
Third Layer: The third layer constitutes the last layer, which will protect us from wind and water coming from the outside. The best are those that are made with some type of membrane, which is impermeable to outside water, designed as tiny funnels that offer their narrow part to the outside (with an entrance hole much smaller than the size of the water droplets). and the wide part towards the inside (to promote the evacuation of water vapor accumulated inside), as in the case of Gore-Tex. The seams of these garments must be heat-sealed. It is much more interesting to buy a garment without an inner lining (the second layer included), because of the possibilities that the outer layer offers us in non-winter seasons, and because of its economy. We can find garments on the market with different types of membranes that fulfill this function with aacceptable success: Gore-Tex (one of the first designed sheets, with proven results, tends to lose its properties due to repeated pressure on the folds), Activent (very breathable membrane due to the size of the pores, greater than the previous one, is used as windbreak), Vertex (a fabric that is more waterproof than breathable), Wind-Tex (membrane used mainly as a windbreak), etc.
The three-layer theory does not necessarily imply that we only have three items of clothing, in each layer we can use one or more items that fulfill the same function. Depending on the temperature we can dispense with the second or third layer.
