Diving is one of the most exciting adventure sports, as they allow you the opportunity to explore a setting in which weightlessness and a great variety of underwater species are present. Something away from the day to day that you cannot miss if you are passing through the island.

The Cabrera Archipelago National Park is one of the best preserved places on our coasts and in it you can find a variety of species, not only at the bottom of the sea, but also on the surface .

The most abundant flora that you will find in the area is the posidonia, with meadows several meters long, and which serves as food for countless species. As for the fauna , the species that you will find will be crustaceans, mollusks, conger eels, cows, sea bass ... the richness of life is unique!

The dive sites in which we will also dive will be La Cabrera, Caló des Monjo, El Toro or Dragonera among others.

We carry out diving baptisms in Alaro so that you can get started in the practice of this sport. During approximately three hours the activity will take place, in which the instructor will explain how to breathe underwater, what sensations you can experience underwater or what are the basic safety rules in diving. The dive will last about 45 minutes.

If you have already done a baptism and what you are really interested in is to continue progressing in this world, we encourage you to attend our diving courses , where you can obtain the qualifications to dive in an astonishing and become a dive instructor.

The course that will open the doors to this sport is the Open Water Diver , which after 5 modules between which you will overcome the theory and the 5 practical classes in the sea, you will be able to dive to a depth of 12 meters accompanied by an instructor.

This title recognized by the PADI organization is suitable to be able to dive anywhere in the world and is the beginning of the rest of the qualifications that you can obtain, such as the Advanced Open Water Diver, the Rescue Dive or the Dive Master, among others.

This sport is ideal to disconnect from the hard work of the whole week or enjoy a different vacation surrounded by spectacular landscapes. Ideal to practice with friends , since in each descent there are groups of about 6-8 people.

We have canyoning in 2 of the most important canyons :

• Sa Fosca. This ravine is considered one of the 6 most impressive in all of Europe. It has rappels up to 25 meters high and does not usually have water in large quantities (it is advisable not to fall into the kettles during the dry season). It is a ravine for experts in which we will have an approximation of an hour and a half and we can spend about 8 hours doing it.

• Torrent de Pareis. This ravine also requires experience to be able to practice it, as it has quite hard sections. Declared a Natural Monument in the heart of the Sierra de Tramuntana, it is one of the most incredible places on the island. It has a route of about 3 kilometers and has walls of up to 200 meters. We can also be doing it for about 8 hours.

It is important that for this activity you know how to swim, since in many sections, being water ravines, you will need to cross from one side of the ravine to the other in the middle of the river. Sa Fosca has a part where diving is necessary in the rainy season, making it one of the most complete ravines on the island.

We also have initiation ravines , such as those of Coanegra or Menut, where you can have a first contact with this sport and take a photographic report as a gift.

Hiking routes of all levels:

• Easy route. This route has an approximate duration of 3 hours, although depending on who you are and how much you want to continue advancing, we can extend it. It is the perfect initiation for future hikers, since the section through which we will walk will be simple and without unevenness.

• Route of medium difficulty. The Sierra de Tramuntana has some sections in which we can increase the difficulty, adapting to those who have already done this activity and are in good physical condition. The approximate duration of the route will be half a day.

• Hiking route for experts. This route has a higher degree of difficulty, ideal for those who want to live an extreme adventure. We will increase the unevenness and the adrenaline will rise as we reach places that are difficult to access.

Most of our excursions run along the Dry Stone Route , a long-distance route (GR221) where you will be able to see some historical remains of old constructions dating from the 13th century.

The effort of self-improvement is one of the qualities of this activity, since you will have to be able to climb the path of a wall with no help other than your own strength and technique. Mallorca has climbing schools in the Sierra de Tramuntana and some of the recommendations we make are the following.

• The Gouge. It is one of the schools that most climbers attend, where you will find lengths of all kinds and routes with a majority of grade VI. Going to eighths is possible from one of the routes that are already open and you will find collapses and plates.

• Castillo de Alaró. It has walls of various degrees of inclination and has a height of just over 800 meters. The vertical plates and the overhangs will be the protagonists of your climbing day next to the Castle.

• Cala Santanyí and Cala Magraner. The routes have a height of about 15 meters maximum and both are located in the south of the island. Ideal place if you go in summer to take a refreshing swim, since it is next to the sea.

• Puerto Sóller. This wall is very well located, since you have the sea about 100 meters away. There are routes of all kinds of degrees of difficulty with plates, extra leads ... All this in a school of about 500 meters.

Some of these steps need the help of the mountain guides, since you have to do some rappelling to go from one room to another.
