Escuela de Surf Llanes

At the Llanes Surf School we offer you much more than training on the waves. Our location in the most beautiful part of the Asturian coast allows us to provide you with access to other adventure disciplines.

Some of the ones we recommend to reach the most significant points of this part of the northern peninsula are:

• Surfing: we are instructors specialized in teaching surfing to students who have any level or who lack it completely. You can start with us with a 2-hour baptism to later move on to complete courses of several days that we organize as a group. We also prepare individual classes at a private level of the duration you need to work on those concepts in which you feel weaker. In addition, at sunset our surfaris take place, covering the experience at sea with even more charm.

• The canoe descent of the Sella River: if you come to Asturias you cannot return home saying that you have not tried it. For this we offer you a section with three durations and lengths for which we provide you with material and food. You can come with children from 5 years old if they know how to defend themselves in the water by swimming.

At the Llanes Surf School we could not ignore that we are in the perfect location to do the most famous canoe descent. That's why we increase our list of activities with a proposal for you to lower the seal in one of the simplest boats that exist.

Its general characteristics are:

- Participants must know how to swim, with this clear concept, they can come from 5 years old. Additionally, children up to 12 are included in the discounted children's rate.

- Your pet comes free: and if you want it to wear a life jacket you can rent it at a very low cost. We provide the picnic for your dog for free.

- We start from Arriondas right at the bridge that is above the Sella riverbed. As for the arrival, you can choose depending on the length of the chosen descent. The minimum is 7 kilometers and it takes 2 hours to finish it, with an average route twice as long that requires 3 and a half hours. The longest of all requires approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes to complete its 17 kilometers.

The times to start the activity are between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. but it will always end at 6 p.m. at the latest.

- The material you will have for the adventure consists of the canoe, which you can share, and the paddle for each one. You will wear life jackets and a neoprene, raincoat or both depending on the weather. We will lend you a waterproof container so that your valuable belongings do not get wet and we will prepare a sandwich with water, fruit and a cake.

At the Llanes Surf School you will learn to move on the waves while you are surrounded by the magnificent environment of the Asturian coast. You have several ways to acquire all the knowledge you need about this sport:

- Through a surfing baptism: this is your first contact with the modality that we approach in two phases to make it easier. We spent the first one covering basic fundamentals and water safety. Then we will enter the sea with the boards to complete the 120 minutes that this experience lasts.

- With courses and classes: our complete courses have a minimum duration of 3 days in which we will lend you both the board and the neoprene, the lycra if necessary and the leash to ensure you. Each day we will remain attentive to the sea conditions before choosing the beach on which to practice.

If you are going to participate in a group, we will take into account your age and level so that the teaching is appropriate for the average student. However, you can also hire private lessons individually when required.
