Koa Escuela de Surf

At Koa we are going to ride the waves of the main beaches of the Cantabrian coast with you as a Surf School and Surfcamp. We are in locations within this coastline as key to this sport as Somo and Laredo. From them:

- You will learn to surf : with our introductory surfing classes that continue at higher levels until reaching the perfectioning ones. They are of 2 hours and a half with a practical block that is preceded by another theoretical one in which safety and technique are worked.

- You will be part of the most fun surfcamps : with special options for girls, for both sexes or for the little ones. In addition to the surf lessons, they include video recording of the students, additional Pilates classes with yoga or stretching, theoretical training on the sea, visits and barbecues.

- You will go out on a paddle surf crossing : those that also help us to start in this modality with a larger surface board and a paddle without the need for waves or in areas such as the estuary.

- You will have accommodation nearby : in our surfhouse or mobile homes that in a small space provide us with everything we need for a comfortable stay.

At the Koa Surf School we also provide you with the accommodation to complement the courses you take with us. You can participate if you prefer surfcamps with everything organized exclusively for girls, mixed or aimed at minors.

Our different types of stays are also available if you are only going to spend a few days here or request the rental of the material for your practices. The main idea is that you have the beach of Somo on hand to arrive without a car. These are:

- Koa House : a beautiful 3 bedroom apartment in Ribamontán al Mar with its own kitchen, a living room in common bathroom, outdoor gardens and internet connection.

- Camping with Mobil Home : the cheapest and most comfortable accommodation you will find. It is only 700 meters from our school and they have lounge, bathroom and small kitchen beds.

And if you already know that you want to use them to follow your surfing program, we propose ready-made packages. They include stays of 5 or 7 nights with 4 or 5 surf lessons, one every day, respectively. The material used for classes is available to students after these for use the rest of the day. The rates we set for these options refer to hiring of at least 2 people.

In the Koa Surf School we have among our tables those that are specific to the stand up paddle. That opens new doors for us in the practice of activities with which to travel along the Cantabrian coast and the rivers that reach it.

Paddle surf courses are focused in a completely practical way and are carried out as crossings through different natural areas of the area. With this we have demonstrated that the student advances enormously in a very short period of time. We will propose what you should do according to the level you have, if you have any, and the characteristics that the weather presents that day:

- Initiation route : that runs along the Ría de Cubas taking advantage of the tranquility of waters that will not resist us.

- Medium level itinerary : we will do it at sea to reach the peculiar Santa Marina Island.

We can go out alone with the instructor, as a couple or in a group as long as we are less than 6 students. Before entering the water we will go through the theory that we will need. On our return we will talk about how it went.
