At Nomad World we intend to disseminate the rich landscape of the Community of Madrid with routes focused on making its main places known to all types of profiles.
With a clear classification of our itineraries by level of difficulty so that you can identify them before making the decision on which one you want to start with, we present dozens of paths that you can continue using hiking as a means. Some of them are:
- El Tejo Millenario de Barondillo: simple journey between Cotos and the urban area of Rascafría that will take us to immerse ourselves in the pine forests that make up the Lozoya Valley. This way we will reach this emblematic tree that has seen one century pass by another.
- La Cueva del Monje: also without any difficulty in this case we will be in the Navalhorno area of Segovia to enter the forests that characterize the Sierra de Guadarrama.
- Pico de Peñalara: we increase in difficulty, up to the medium level, at the same time that we ascend the mountain using the Alpine Battalion Path. It departs from Puerto de Cotos and will leave us with impressive general views thanks to the altitude.
Come winter we transform hiking into routes for which we equip ourselves with snowshoes.

At Nomad World winter does not stop us and to continue moving forward we convert our proposals into specific ones for snow, thereby creating snowshoe routes that allow us to continue moving through the mountains.
One of the main itineraries that we address in this sense is the excursion to Loma del Noruego in Puerto de Cotos. The great advantage of this proposal is that it belongs to level C of difficulty, which means that it only has a difference in altitude of 400 meters between its maximum point and minimum.
To begin this route we will meet at the meeting point and once the group is complete:
- We will introduce you to the monitor and we will have a brief talk. It is convenient that we get to know each other a little. We will ask you if it is your first time to pay more attention if you do not know how to use the equipment.
- We will distribute the material. It is made up of a pair of snowshoes for each participant and two walking sticks that will help advance on the snowy terrain. We will help you put it on with your footwear. Remember that if you don't have hiking boots, they must be sports boots.
- We will go out on the route: we will go at a calmer pace at first to make sure that everyone controls their step. It will increase as the excursion goes on and you feel more comfortable.

At Nomad World we will be your professional company to go on excursions, both hiking and trekking, so that you can enjoy nature and unique mountain landscapes from our Madrid headquarters.
The routes have been planned being aware of the different abilities of the participants, creating a catalog by levels so that anyone can participate in the ideal one for them:
- High Level: this is what we classify those itineraries in which there is a difference in altitude of around 800 meters between the minimum and maximum elevation that we will reach.
- Medium Level: paths that are somewhat less demanding because the slope does not exceed 600 meters.
- Low Level: these are the most acceptable routes with barely 400 meters of difference between both levels.
We also prepare you with mountaineering courses taught by technicians who stand out in this modality in our country. They are done in small groups to be able to serve you personally. They will share their experience with all types of audiences, whether they are children or adults.
The activities you carry out with us are under our Civil Liability and Accident insurance.
