The Quiksilver Roxy Cantabra Surf School offers you the best surfing professionals with more than 25 years of experience in practicing and teaching this sport and everything that it entails. We are the first surf school in Spain and thousands of students have passed through our facilities who have learned a new sport and made it a lifestyle.

We are located on Somo beach, which is more than 8 kilometers long and has the best conditions for surfing, both for beginners and for perfecting techniques. This activity can be practiced from 7 years of age and in our facilities you can find different modalities:

• Paddle Surf

In all classes we include the necessary material, such as the board, neoprene and the corresponding insurance. After a short theoretical class session, you will be able to apply what you have learned at sea and from the first day you will be practicing and fighting to stand on the board and try to maintain your balance.

We offer 5-day courses, weekend courses, one-week courses and private classes. This way you will always find a program that adapts to your needs, your time and your level.

We have a wide variety of schedules and levels to adapt to the needs of all types of clients. You have never had it so easy to get started in this sport that has recently been established in our country.

This discipline, which finds its origin in Polynesia and Hawaii, uses a longer board that is wider than usual and a paddle that we will use to propel ourselves. With this original technique, the surfer will be able to see the waves sooner and thus be able to prepare for the start.

All our monitors have extensive experience and are subjected to a constant recycling process, staying up to date with the latest trends that emerge in terms of techniques and materials used.

The Cántabrian Surf School offers you the possibility of spending the summer combining the beach and sports on Somo beach.

We adapt to your personal situation. Before coming, tell us if you have a board, wetsuit or will need all the equipment to surf. We haveopen stays in which you choose the duration which include two hours of class morning and afternoon, board, wetsuit, instructor, insurance and half board.
You can also sign up for one of our specific camps:

- Special Surf Camp for children between 12 and 17 years old: you will start surfing with the most prestigious school in the country in learning and improvement lessons with two hours a day of class or four if you prefer an intensive regime. We include full board accommodation, absolute availability of the material given to each student, multi-activity, yoga, stretching and night games.

- Special Roxy Surf Camp only for girls for people over 14 years old: you will live an unforgettable experience in which you will meet other participants with your same interests. The surf course will be intensive with four hours of lessons and full board accommodation. Activities similar to those of the rest of the camps will be carried out with surprises and diplomas at the end of the stay.

Both take place in the month of July and require parental authorization.
